If we found out the world/powerful are corrupt....so what?

So what then?

If we found out the powerful, elites, leaders, law makers, pharmaceutical companies are corrupt.

What would you do?

What could you do?

Would you quit your job?
Would you scream foul?
Would you cry?
Would you write blogs?
Would you stop paying your taxes?
Would you tell your friends?

Really, what could you do...what could anyone do?

As far as I can see, we have positioned ourselves as humans to rely on them...no matter what they do. Perhaps all we can do is pray they allow us to live our lives in somewhat peace? dunno

...just some thought provoking after watching a movie.

Greeting from Tula de Allende Mexico

Haven't checked in in awhile. I'm giving my COVID vaccination a good test by traveling through a bit of Central Mexico. I started in Guadalajara and I'm in Mexico City tonight, where I spent a week. A lot of people wear masks but social distancing is pretty hard. Especially on crowded city buses. I'm going to Guatemala tomorrow. It's good to be traveling again. In the middle of the photo you can see the Aztec ruins in Tula de Allende. Cheers.

Sonny Barger...

Biker Ralph “Sonny” Barger was the founder of the California-born motorcycle club Hells Angels. He passed away at the age of 83 after a battle with Cancer.

A rough life, he had. Dropped out of school in the 10th grade, on a forged birth certificate, he joined the Army at age 16 and was kicked out when they found out!

Inspired by the 1953 movie "The Wild One" he wanted to join a motorcycle club. The idea was to 'ride a motorcycle, party and have a good time'

Hells Angels were founded in the 1940's and Barger formed the Oakland chapter in 1957, becoming the club's most visible figure as their national president.

No stranger to jail, Barger had visited them several times.

Seafood is my favorite. I've eaten in one of the best Seafood restaurants in the Caribbean, Mediterranean, Opera at the Hotel Intercontinental in Sydney, Award winning eat all you can Lobsters and crabs at Rios in Vegas, but nothing beats this sumptuous delicacy in the Captain's Crab in the Midwest. And with $120 dollars per head in some places, this is one of the least priced but most delicious I've been into. Combined crab legs, Prawns, Mussels, Clams and Crowdads.

Yummy.
This was last Sunday.

My personal casino experiences.

I want to start out by saying I am not a scientist, not an expert, and I have not done any studies on any casinos so this is just based off of my personal experience of attending them/it.

My local casino here is the one I attend the most. At one time, I would go up to 3 times a week. I am not a big spender there, just bet minimum on the machines...basically, just going out to have some fun...not looking to get rich or get broke. I have been in that place over 1000 times...I know many of its employees. laugh My father and I go there...he is getting old and worked his a** off all his life, I think he deserves a little fun and entertainment. They have free music there on the weekend, main event concerts, and great food. For this little tiny neck of the woods, it is a monster sized establishment. It still amazes me every time I go there that they can sustain a business of this size in this small of an area. People travel from all over to attend it. They have a water park and 2 or 3 (I think now) golf courses....it really is a treat for us locals.

Oh...they have their own gas station, huge several hundred room hotel, and pot selling place too. laugh Well, I have quit smoking pot for some years, but the locals tell me that their weed is amazing.

Now, I say, it really is a treat for us locals. Of course what I mean by that is with some moderation on your spending there. Afterall, it is a casino...not an ATM. They were not able to build such a huge facility because they are not making money...and employ hundreds of people.

What I have noticed...mostly...is on the machines, they will give you wins here and there. Mostly these wins are just enough to keep you playing, not to go home with a smile on your face to make you feel like you really won. Those types of win, from my experience, are very few and far between. I just go there with $100. Most of the times in my past I would lose it all. But now, recently, I have become a little more disciplined in my gambling. Now, I might walk out with $20 to $40 instead of losing it all. I am just out to enjoy myself and be out with my dad for a couple of hours...so if I get that, I am okay, even if I lose all of the $100. However, if I am not greedy and I am okay with turning my $100 into $120, in other words take a $20 bill...that is more likely to do than to turn my $100 into $200.

So....don't be greedy at casinos, in my opinion....sometimes take the $20.

I know....I am a small time gambler, but that is how I can afford to go out with my father and have fun as frequently as I do. There are gamblers in there that I think are insane. laugh I once seen a person betting $25 per spin. wow I wondered to myself, just actually how much of a win would it take to send them home with a slight smile on their face? But...there are those out there that are insanely rich too.

Some more Trini trivia...Our national musical instrument.

The steelpan (also known as a pan, steel drum, and sometimes, collectively with other musicians, as a steelband or steel orchestra) is a musical instrument originating from Trinidad and Tobago. Steelpan musicians are called pannists. The modern pan is a chromatically pitched percussion instrument ...(Wikipedia)

A little Trini trivia... "Liming" is we ting

"Liming" has been called the art of doing nothing, socially. In the New Oxford American Dictionary, a Trinidadian “lime” is defined as doing anything, anywhere in company in a relaxing way. Others would call it “hanging out”. Whatever you call it, liming is way of life on the islands of Trinidad and Tobago.
Referring to the art of doing nothing while sharing food, drink, conversation and laughter, liming is an important part of the country’s island culture. In fact, it’s not uncommon for locals to say something like “let’s go lime” to mean “let’s chill or hangout.” (Bing)

So, a 'lime' for us means more than just the fruit. There are beach limes, down-the-road limes, backyard limes, river limes, bar limes, friend-house limes, stay-at-home limes, etc which were usually daily activities for many (regardless of the weather), before Covid. Things have been returning to normal though...
