Getting just a little weak in the knees....

......American Public Broadcasting Systems. November looms large. Part of what the growing movement is doing to bring justice and real fairness to all forms of PBS, is making people aware of the historical facts surrounding this scam on the American People and the world, by these alt leftie Democrat supporting news outlets. And their evolution as well. Begun using taxpayers' money, half a century ago, as an alternative to the commercial broadcast media of that era. Fair enough, good idea. And for a while, the content provided was fairly fair and balanced, even though many stations were started at colleges and universities. Always bad prospects for openness and fair dialogue. But in time, a few things happened. The number of staffers recently graduating from their liberal tutelage of their commie professors began to rise, and in time, these ueber lefties were able to rise in the organizations. Of course, the few who were more fair minded, were not as fortunate. Don't take my word for it, ask any assistant professor with even modest right wing views. Part one of the royal scam. Next, a couple of decades ago, as legislators smelled the burn coffee, the obscene gift of taxpayers to fund these socialist propaganda outlets, began to decrease. At which time two other changes occured, while the left biases grew even stronger. The stations began fundraising drives---the shameless, tasteless BEGATHONS, and over time began giving away baubles to contributors. At first music CD's, coffee mugs and grocery bags, all with station logos. But don't take my word for it. Look at the most recent give aways. No, peoples, not subscriptions to the National Review, or to other such media, but yes, to online subscriptions for a year to, did you guess, the NEW YORK TIMES!!!!!. But recently, just this morning in fact, while listening to the enemy, following Lao Tsu, at the end of the usual mostly TD-HD Syndrome content, the announcer, wormishly, said the following. Paraphrased, it might be time for even tempered acceptance of all political viewpoints, and even TWEETS. I was overcome with joy. They know their shite is weak, especially with our movement to defund the lot, and create REAL media alternatives. President Trump should support such after November. Can't make this stuff up, folks. Tingles down the legs. Draining the swamp, step by step.

Mortal Engines - a review!

Today, I spent about two hours in the dark, watching a steampunk adventure written and produced by Peter Jackson and some other people.

The premise of the movie is about a mysterious young woman named Hester Shaw, who joins forces with Anna Fang, a dangerous outlaw with a bounty on her head, and Tom Natsworthy, an outcast from London, to lead a rebellion against a giant predator city on wheels.

So how is it? Is it just another mediocre film, or does this have some meat to it?

In short: This movie is a great popcorn time!

Hera Hilmar, Hugo Weaving, Jihae, Robert Sheedan, Stephen Lang and Colin Salmon lead the cast on this enormous adventure, that is a visually stunning piece of film. It's rare that I sit and go "Wow!" to a film, but this one really made me sit in awe.

The CGI is on point, and it is very entertaining. There is one chase sequence, where I found myself on the edge of my seat, thoroughly enjoying the action taking place in front of me.

The acting is good, but some of it is wooden, at best, and there are several cheasy oneliners, that really makes you go "Oh my God, really?!". There is also a funny bit, where you go "Heh, fun!"

But all in all, it is a great time. If you are a fan of huge action sequences, with lots of things happening, then you definitely need to see Mortal Engines!

I shall rate this movie 8/10!

Midway - a review!

I have always wanted to see Midway, ever since I saw the trailer for it, so I reached out to K to hear, if she wanted to go see it tomorrow. "How about we do it today? I will arrive in Copenhagen at 5.15 pm". I checked the time for when the movie began, and it said 6 pm, so I texted her back, saying "Let's do it". So off I went to meet up with K, and watch the film.

The movie stars Ed Skrein, Patrick Wilson, Woody Harrelson, Luke Evans, Mandy More, Luke Kleintank, Dennis Quaid, Tadanobu Asano, Aaron Eckhart and Nick Jonas, and it follows the supposedly true tale, about what lead up to the attack on Pearl Harbor, and the aftermath of the attack.

Directed by Roland Emmerich, this 100 million dollar explosion is VERY entertaining. From the acting to the story to the effects, this movie just delivers. It's easily one of the best movies I have seen this year, and I have seen a lot.

At one point, during a huge action scene, K looked at me with the biggest smile on her face, and her eyes just lit up with excitement and awe, over what she witnessed. And I agreed with her, because it was just plain badass.

As you would expect, in a big budget war film, there are a LOT of explosions. Like.. A metric asstonne of explosions. They are all done beautifully, and I love just how loud and bombastic it is.

On the journey home, we both agreed, that this movie was extremely well made, and we both wanted to watch it again. We felt the same way when we watched Terminator: Dark Fate. We wanted to watch that again instantly.

So all in all, this movie deserves a 9 out of 10. It's really exciting, full of explosions and noise, and it's just pure entertainment and fun to watch!

Yesterday was fun!

I had a very good day yesterday. For the first time in about three months, I was happy. Smiling from ear to ear, laughing and generally feeling good about myself - and, of course, I saw the new Star Wars, with K.

She decided the time we were supposed to meet, and then we both had a fantastic time during the movie. I loved it, but some of the things in the movie, was a bit.. Rushed, I felt. K felt the same, but all in all, it was a success. There is this new character in the movie called Babu Frik, and he is possibly the cutest thing ever! During the previews, we were treated to a 6 minute sneak-peek to the new movie Tenet. It looks fantastic! K and I both agreed, that we were going to have to watch that. Of all the previews we saw, three stood out: The new Bond film, the new Top Gun and Tenet. All three in IMAX. It's gonna be expensive, but worth it.

Now, this wouldn't be a successful trip to the cinema, without me buying too much. I decided to get some pick-n-mix, because surely that would be eaten during the movie.

It didn't. Did it get eaten before the movie? No. Did I even eat most of it? No. I barely touched it. This is what happens when we go and see exciting movies! We are too busy watching the screen, to be eating popcorn, candy or other things. But - at least I have some for tomorrow or tonight.

What rating would I give Star Wars? A solid 8.

All State makes it to the moon.

Have you seen their newest commercial of two passengers riding in the vehicle on the surface of the moon?

Can you prove that to be fake?

....if they could fake it, why could it not be faked in the '60's?

You wanna remake a network, you gotta break a few eggs…CNN fires Brian Stelter

CNN is canceling its Sunday media affairs show Reliable Sources, and host Brian Stelter is departing the network, Stelter tells NPR.

In a statement to NPR, Stelter says he's grateful for the show and his team's examination of "the media, truth and the stories that shape our world."

"It was a rare privilege to lead a weekly show focused on the press at a time when it has never been more consequential," Stelter said, promising to say more on Sunday's show — its final episode.

Stelter got his start blogging about cable news as a student and went on to become a media reporter for The New York Times. Reliable Sources is the longest-running show on CNN; Stelter has hosted it for the past nine years and celebrated its 30th anniversary in March.

CNN chief Chris Licht informed Stelter of the decision yesterday. Licht has been making cuts throughout the network since taking the helm as part of Warner Bros. Discovery's takeover of the old Time Warner company. Stelter, who often touted the show's ratings on Twitter, was among those CNN hosts targeted for frequent criticism from conservatives for his coverage of the media in the Trump years.

Among those publicly joining in on the broader criticism of CNN as having become politicized was the investor John Malone, a major financial stakeholder of the new WarnerDiscovery conglomerate. In an episode on February, Stelter cited Malone more than a dozen times in coverage of the Discovery deal for CNN and its sister properties, expressing some concern about the investor's influence.

"Stelter came to CNN from the New York Times as the nation's top media reporter. He departs CNN an impeccable broadcaster," Amy Entelis, CNN's executive vice president for talent and content development. "We are proud of what Brian and his team accomplished over the years, and we're confident their impact and influence will long outlive the show."

Bad Boys for Life - a review!

Earlier today, I went and saw the new Bad Boys film, which I was super excited about. But was it worth it? Was it fantastic, or was it a total stinker?

Let's rewind the clock back 17 years, way back to 2003. Will Smith and Martin Lawrence starred in an undoubtedly gruesome, gory and exciting sequel, to the 1995 film, that started it all. Bad Boys II was absolutely over the top, but I loved it. Now, 17 years later, we would finally get another adventure with Mike Lowrey and Marcus Burnett.

Marcus and Mike have to confront new issues (career changes and a midlife crisis), as they join the newly created elite team AMMO of the Miami police department to take down the ruthless Armando Armas, the vicious leader of a Miami drug cartel.

The film starts with a bang - and a very fast car. Enter Mike Lowrey and Marcus Burnett as we know them - bantering and cussing, as only the Bad Boys can. The entire opening sequence is fantastic! Precision driving, one-liners and great music as well.

Besides Will Smith and Martin Lawrence, pretty much every surviving character from Bad Boys II are in the movie. Marcus is still married to Theresa, Reggie is in the military and Syd.. Well, Syd isn't found anywhere. She's mentioned a few times, but she's otherwise missing. A shame, since I loved that character.

This movie has everything you could possibly want from a Bad Boys film: Flashy cars, flashy clothes, explosions, swearing, blood and a fantastic comedy element. I enjoyed myself a lot, which is why I am giving this movie a solid 9 out of 10.

K loved it too, which was a relief, since this was the first Bad Boys she has ever watched. At some point, K and I are gonna watch the first two on Netflix.

A sad day in comedy - Monty Python member Terry Jones died last night at 77

Terry Jones was both a comedic director and actor for the British comedy group Monty Python.
The last few years he was affected by a rather rare form of dementia.

Thanks for the many laughs & R.I.P. Terry.

Brightburn - a review!

I have finished Brightburn a few minutes ago, and it's amazing!

The story is pretty straight forward: What if Superman was evil instead of good?

The movie is produced by James Gunn, who is known from making Marvel movies, and it is a classic, no-nonsense, suspenseful horror film, with a lot of brutal imagery.

I will not go into a lot of detail here, because that will ruin the movie. Understand, though, that this isn't your classic feel-good movie, and it is super dark and depressing throughout the entirety.

Jackson A. Dunn plays Brandon Breyer, the kid known as Brightburn. He gives a fantasticaly creepy performance, and he is definitely someone you should look out for in the future. His parents, Tori and Kyle Breyer are played by Elizabeth Banks and David Denman respectively.

To give you an example on how brutal this film is, here is a scene from the movie

As you can see, it's a properly brutal movie, and if you are squeamish, then you need to give this a pass. If you are up for an amazing horror movie, with great practical effects, then watch Brightburn. I really enjoyed watching it!

9/10!

I look forward to the sequel!
