Best and most interesting movie I've watched in a long time...
unfortunately it's based on true events.
Too late for so many
but all the lives saved because of the persistence of one man
Discussing the movie earlier with Mr Know it all
according to him much is also going on in Brazil today concerning American toxic waste.
In whom can we trust these days, certainly not the big boys we should ...
On another blog someone used the expression
" like toads in boiling water"
the lady wasn't too far wrong with what she said.
Anyways, DARK WATERS is an eye opener and definitely worth a watch
stock up on the popcorn though as it is longer than your average movie
One of the very best comedy ever
So many stupid movies playing out there. What ever happen when Hollywood made great movies?
many executive orders of his affirmative action predecesor, B Hussein O,, pull for service evaluation, the broadcast licenses of so-called public media? These broadcasters were started half a century ago, and were meant to be an independent "non-commercial" alternative to commercial broadcast media---and were funded almost entirely by taxpayer dollars. Even the most moonbat viewer of current shows on these channels, if at all fairminded, will see the incredible left wing (now morphing into rabid alt-left Trump bashing) thrust presented. When started, these media showed only a little left bias, consistent with the sentimentalities of then staff, but over time, as with government education workers, university academics, much of foreign tax-funded media (BBC, DW, RFI, others), the content is anything but even handed. Non-commercial? PBS/NPR are loaded with glossy detailed adverts---so much for "viewer funded" myths. Not to forget are the many day long "volunteer assisted" BEGATHONS, touting music and other CD's and DVD's for crass commercial consumption. It's true that the percentage of taxpayer funding has decresed over the years (thanks Mr. Gingrich), but it should long have been zero. Curiously, local NPR (National Proletarian Radio), is mounting an enormous multi milion dollar cash raising effort, apart from the usual begathons, (aimed, allegedly, at operating expenses), for a total operation makeover. Do they sense shifting public scrutiny? Finally, check out the salaries of the suits at these organizations, not the women or peon workers, but the brass, for a shock or two, especially at the Beeb. Truth be told. Aa.
I'm gonna fling this song in under the wire before the new year , just because it punches me in the feels every single time.
Every year I shriek at the tv to stick him in the freezer before it's too late but he never listens
Lots of luck in 2017 everyone, trolls and dolls alike.

In the USA, and possibly overseas, there was perhaps the most successful 'spin-off' comedy of all time: FRASIER (which was spun off from CHEERS). One of the characters, about 5' 5" bundle of cuteness by the character name of DAPHNE (Jane Leeves), and an equally cute (to American ears) English accent.
As it turns out, the guy who played the beer-swilling American Dad was actually English and had worked hard to change his accent, and then helped 'Daphne" with her English accent.
So odd.
"I always thought Daphne's accent was a bit "off". As Jane Leeves wasn't from the north of England though, I'm presuming that she was doing her best to imitate a Manchester accent, although I'd have thought a top notch dialect coach in the U.S. could have enabled her to sound more Mancunian. John Mahoney was from Manchester originally but had worked so hard to lose his British accent years before that I'm presuming he couldn't help Jane that much. Either way, I think we Brits notice the difference between a Lancashire or Yorkshire accent but doubt the average American viewer would. As for the "bumbershoot" line, I have to say I thought it was ridiculous as I commented to my Australian husband. He hadn't heard of the expression either despite having taught in the north west of England for a while. If you love the show, I think you have to forgive the writers for the odd slip up when it comes to authenticity."
