Republican Party Declares Moral Bankruptcy

WASHINGTON (The Borowitz Report)—The Republican Party officially filed for moral bankruptcy on Tuesday morning, a move that many in the nation considered long overdue.
In filing for moral bankruptcy, the Republicans will formally attest that they have no morals, standards, or ethics on their balance sheet, and will agree to cease all activity as a political party in exchange for indemnity from any and all legal actions.
Harland Dorrinson, a Washington attorney who specializes in moral bankruptcies, said that, by making its moral vacuum official, the G.O.P. could theoretically break itself up and sell off the parts, but, he warned, “There are no buyers.”
“From Lindsey Graham to Ted Cruz to Mitch McConnell to Chuck Grassley, all of the Republican Party’s assets could only be described as toxic,” he said. “Their breakup value is zero.”
Further complicating such a sale, Dorrinson said, is the fact that the lion’s share of the Republican Party is already owned by the National Rifle Association, Koch Industries, and the Russian government.
“All of those entities are going to take a major loss on their investment,” he warned. “The Kochs have been trying to sell Paul Ryan for months, and they can’t give him away.”
While bemoaning the demise of a once legitimate political party, Dorrinson did see one silver lining. “The bankruptcy of the Republican Party will be presided over by Donald Trump, and no one has more experience in this area,” he said.

The eye of a hurricane...
I was looking at photos of hurricane Michael that came through the Florida Panhandle today. Having lived in South Florida for nearly 60 years I've seen many hurricanes including ones that came across my city where we experienced the eye of a hurricane.
The experience you receive is a hundred plus miles per hour wind and rain, then the eyewall passes over you'll likely to find the rain stops, the wind stops and it is all quiet for more than 20 minutes. As you reach the back part of the eye wall the wind and rain hits you in the opposite direction from the way it originally passed over you. Very creepy.

If you ask if I recall going outside in the eye of a hurricane with an umbrella and a skateboard, my reply would be yes.

The special counsel Robert Mueller is expected to issue new indictments as part of the Russia investigation as soon as Tuesday, CBS reported, citing multiple sources with knowledge of the probe.
Meanwhile, acting Attorney General Matthew Whitaker plans to consult with Department of Justice ethics officials about whether he should recuse himself from the investigation into the Trump campaign's ties to Russia, a department representative said Monday.
Since Mueller took over the investigation in May 2017, his team has charged four Americans once affiliated with Trump's campaign or administration, 13 Russian nationals, 12 Russian intelligence officers, three Russian companies, and three other people.
They include Paul Manafort, the former Trump campaign chairman, George Papadopoulos, a former Trump campaign adviser, and Michael Flynn, Trump's former national security adviser.
November and December are widely expected to be busy months for Mueller, following a quiet period during which prosecutors, following DOJ guidelines, avoided taking any actions that could be seen as influencing the outcome of the midterm elections.
For months, Mueller has been zeroing in on the longtime GOP strategist Roger Stone and his associates. At the center of Mueller's focus is whether Stone or any other Trump associates had advance knowledge that Russia had stolen batches of emails from the Democratic National Committee and Hillary Clinton's campaign and disseminated them via the pro-transparency group WikiLeaks, founded by Julian Assange.
In addition to Stone, Mueller has also focused on the far-right commentator Jerome Corsi, who told NBC News on Monday that Mueller's team told him he would be indicted.
"I don't recall ever meeting Julian Assange or getting information from anyone about what he had including the Podesta emails," Corsi said Monday, referring to John Podesta, the Clinton campaign manager. "But they have all your emails and phone records … They're very good at the perjury trap."

Zenvo - what is it?
Back in 2004, a small company put Denmark on the map, when it comes to car production. That company was Zenvo, and it was founded by two guys, who aimed to make a luxurious, high-performance automobile, capable of playing with the big boys over at Lamborghini and Ferrari.
The result was the mind-blowing ST1, a brutal beast with 1104 horsepower, from a 7.0 liter Corvette V8 engine. The design was aggressive and still extremely striking, and it kick started an adventure that few believed in, even me. I though "No way in Hell can this succeed!", but they are still here, 14 years later.
So, how did this brutal machine look like? It looked like this:

My first reaction was "Wow! That looks amazing!", and maybe, just maybe, this would be a success.
Fast forward to Top Gear testing the car. It was a PR disaster! The car caught fire, and it ended up being slower than a family car. But, in Zenvo's defense, Top Gear tested the car in undriveable conditions. A very wet track, and the setting in the most brutal position, made the car a handful to control.
Since 2012, Zenvo has been owned by Russian investors, but they are still based in Denmark. The factory is an hour away from me, which is very weird to think about, in a way.
So, this Zenvo.. How much is it? Well.. You see, that's the thing.. If you have to ask, you cannot afford it. But it is at least 1.8 million dollars. And the new one is even more expensive. It is called the TSR-S, and it is a road legal version of the TSR, which is the racing version of the TS1 GT, which is a further developed version of the TS1. It sounds confusing, but it really isn't.
The really great thing about this car, is that it is extremely easy to drive. It drives just like a normal car, and it is not uncontrollable like the Pagani Zonda R is. Well, it might be super hard to control when you go full Rambo mode in the TSR-S, but if you drive it like a normal car, it behaves just like a Golf. Or so they claim it does. I haven't actually driven it yet, and I doubt I will ever get the chance. Next year, the Copenhagen Historic Grand Prix is on, and if the Zenvo is there, I will definitely go for a ride in it!
So, ladies and gentlemen - introducing the Zenvo TSR-S! A 1170 horsepower animal, capable of going from 0-62 mph in just 2.8 seconds, and it is limited to 202 mph. It has a new wing, that reacts to the steering input, and it is the first on any car ever! "But Danny, what does it look like?", I hear you ask. Well, I am glad you did, because it looks like this:
