Trump drops the majority of the PA lawsuit
The only part of the lawsuit still intact is the part about "cured" votes.
Basicly, if a person forgot to sign the ballot or something similar,
the voter was contacted and allowed to sign the ballot prior to the deadline
to cure the mistake.
So, Trump is suing the counties that did that.
However, the small amount of ballots that were cured is far less than the approximately 70,000
votes that Biden won by. So, it's really a moot point anyway.
The rest of the lawsuit was dropped prior to going to court tomorrow.
Clearly, it was a move just for show to trick and rile up his base and to motivate them to send in
donations.
The election is a done deal. Time to face reality.
On January 20th Joe Biden is president and Kamala Harris is VP.

The remaining claim in the lawsuit centers on disqualifying ballots cast by voters who were given an opportunity to fix mail-in ballots that were going to be disqualified for a technicality.
The lawsuit charges that “Democratic-heavy counties” violated the law by identifying mail-in ballots before Election Day that had defects — such as lacking an inner “secrecy envelope” or lacking a voter’s signature on the outside envelope — so that the voter could fix it and ensure that the vote would count, called “curing.”
Republican-heavy counties “followed the law and did not provide a notice and cure process, disenfranchising many,” the lawsuit said.
Cliff Levine, a lawyer representing the Democratic National Committee, which is seeking to intervene, said it's unclear how many voters were given the chance to fix their ballot.
But, he said, it is minimal and certainly fewer than the margin — almost 70,000 — that separates Biden and Trump.
“The numbers aren't even close to the margin between the two candidates, not even close,” Levine said.
In any case, there is no provision in state law preventing counties from helping voters to fix a ballot that contains a technical deficiency. Levine said the lawsuit does not contain any allegation that somebody voted illegally.

Trump has not been so cautious, insisting without evidence that the election was stolen from him even when election officials nationwide from both parties say there has been no conspiracy.
On Wednesday, Trump took aim at Philadelphia, the Democratic stronghold that helped push President-elect Joe Biden over the 270 Electoral College votes needed to win the race. The president accused a local Republican election official, Al Schmidt, of ignoring "a mountain of corruption & dishonesty.” Twitter added a label that said the election fraud claim is disputed.
Trump loyalists have filed at least 15 legal challenges in Pennsylvania alone in an effort to reclaim the state’s 20 electoral votes. There is action, too, in Georgia, Arizona, Nevada and Michigan.
In court, his lawyers must walk a precarious line between advocating for their client and upholding their professional oath.
Legal ethicists and pro-democracy activists have questioned the participation of lawyers in this quest, as Trump clings to power and President-elect Joe Biden rolls out his agenda.
“This may be an attempt to appease the ego in chief, but there are real world consequences for real people that come out of that,” said Loyola Law School professor Justin Levitt, a former Justice Department elections official. “The attempt to soothe the president’s ego is not a victimless crime.”
Schmidt told CBS' “60 Minutes” that his office has received death threats simply for counting votes.
“From the inside looking out, it feels all very deranged,” Schmidt said in an interview that aired Sunday. “Counting votes cast on or before Election Day by eligible voters is not corruption. It is not cheating. It is democracy.”
Untold voters, however, are accepting Trump’s claim about a rigged election and are donating to his legal fund.
A law firm involved in the election suits, Ohio-based Porter Wright Morris & Arthur, appeared to take down its Twitter feed Tuesday after it was inundated with attacks. The firm declined to address questions from The Associated Press about the feed in a statement issued Wednesday that said it had a long history of election work.
A second firm, Jones Day, said it was representing not the Trump campaign but the Pennsylvania GOP, in litigation before the U.S. Supreme Court over the three-day extension to accept mail-in ballots.
Nationally, the strategy is being run by Trump allies such as Rudy Giuliani, the president’s personal attorney; political operative David Bossie, who is not an attorney; and Jay Sekulow, a lead lawyer during the president’s impeachment trial this year. Bossie recently tested positive for COVID-19.
Election law expert Rick Hasen said he would expect to see top-drawer Supreme Court litigators involved, such as two former solicitors general, Paul Clement or Theodore Olson, if Trump had a strong case.
“There are certain names of elite lawyers that signal to the Supreme Court that something is serious,” said Hasen, a professor at the University of California, Irvine. Instead, “the campaign announced that it was putting Rudy Giuliani and David Bossie in charge.” ....

Tell Robert...
Well-known personal injury attorney Robert Fenstersheib had his face on billboards along Interstate 95 that read TELL ROBERT with client statements claiming of the hundreds of thousands he recovered for them.
The billboards are gone. Actually the billboards are still there, it's Robert's ads that are gone. They are advertising other clients now. The reason why his ads are no longer there is Robert is dead.
His son, Michael who suffered from severe mental illness and addiction apparently had an altercation with dad. Robert was shot dead, Michael's girlfriend was also shot, taken to a local hospital requiring surgery and Michael is also dead.
This murder-suicide story was posted a while back and still police have no answers as to what happened. I guess they forgot to tell Robert.

Biden up 8.8 percent in latest poll
According to a poll conducted by The Guardian, nationwide Biden (+8.8%, 51.4% for Biden and 48.6% for Trump ) is up about twice as much as Hillary (+6%) was at this time in 2016.
However, once again the so-called 'battleground states' may decide the election outcome.
Some of them are extremely close at this time, especially; Iowa (0.3% for Biden), Florida (+1 % for Biden), Ohio (+1.8% for Trump), North Carolina (+2.2% for Biden), and (Arizona +3.6% for Biden).
Regardless, it seems that Biden has a lot more paths to victory than Hillary did.
Nonetheless, it is possible that Covid-19 will be gone like a miracle before the election.

In order to track how the race is developing in the areas that could decide the election, six of the eight states we focused on were those that flipped to Trump in 2016 after backing Barack Obama in 2012. Arizona and North Carolina were also added due to what they might tell us about a shifting electoral landscape – they could emerge as vital new swing states this year.
We must caution that the polls – particularly some swing state polls – severely undercounted Trump supporters in 2016. We are not certain, despite assurances, that they they have corrected this. It's currently passing through the Florida Keys as a tropical storm and will become a category 1 hurricane by Monday afternoon as is heads to the West into the Gulf of Mexico.
The forecast is Eta will make a 90 degree turn on Tuesday and head North where it's expected to make landfall in the West coast of Florida North of Tampa.
From the radar imagery, it's a large storm dumping rain all over South Florida and expected to do so for a few days.
Rain bands with 50mph wind gusts in my area.

Pennsylvania Attorney General Josh Shapiro appeared on The Rachel Maddow Show Wednesday night to address the latest lawsuit brought by President Trump against the state. The Trump campaign filed the legal complaint against the state, this time in an attempt to block the counting of mail-in ballots. This came as Trump’s sizable lead over Joe Biden continued to deteriorate throughout the day. But Shapiro says the votes will be counted. Trump had previously filed suits prior to the election aimed at limiting how and when ballots could be collected.
“It is really a new suit in the line of many that have been dismissed outright and found to have absolutely no merit. And I just want to assure you, Rachel, these ballots here in Pennsylvania are going to continue to be counted,” Shapiro said, adding, “They’ve brought a lot of suits here in Pennsylvania to try and limit the vote, and now seemingly to try and stop the counting. Every time they’ve brought a lawsuit, we’ve won. And if they want to bring another one, we’ll win again to protect the good people of Pennsylvania.”
Earlier in the day, Trump dispatched his personal lawyer, Rudy Giuliani, and son Eric to Pennsylvania, where they held a press conference deriding the continuing counting of votes, and Shapiro had thoughts on Giuliani.
“Maybe they need to stop listening to Rudy Giuliani so much,” Shapiro said. “I think that may be one of their problems.”
