A Secular Hymn

Ever feel left out in Church? Here's a little something to take along with you on your next visit.

All things bright and beautiful,
All creatures great and small,
All things wise and wonderful:
Atoms make them all.

Each little flower that opens,
Each little bird that sings,
All due to natural selection,
It made their tiny wings.

The purple-headed mountains,
The river running by,
The sunset and the morning
A freshly baked bird* pie.

The cold wind in the winter,
The pleasant summer sun,
The ripe fruits in the garden,
Laws of physics made each one.

The tall trees in the greenwood,
The meadows where we play,
The rushes by the water,
Biology, I’d say.

We evolved eyes to see them,
And lips that we might tell
How great is evolution,
Which turned out pretty well.

Biblical Faith: Rational/Irrational? - 'God, I don't want to die,' U.S. missionary wrote before he w

An American missionary trying to meet and convert one of the most isolated hunter-and-gatherer tribes in the world offered them fish and other small gifts before the tribesmen killed him and buried his body on the beach, journals and emails show.

John Allen Chau, 26, of Vancouver Washington, an Instagram adventurer who also led missionary trips abroad, traveled to the Andaman Islands - an Indian territory in the Bay of Bengal - this month to make contact with members of the tiny Sentinelese tribe, police said. The tribe, who have remained alone for centuries, reject contact with the wider world and react with hostility and violence to attempts by outsiders to interact with them. The island is off-limits to visitors under Indian law.

Chau's riveting journal of his last days, shared with The Post by his mother, shows a treacherous journey by dark in a small fishing boat to the area where the small tribe lived in huts. The men - about 5 feet-5 inches tall with yellow paste on their faces, Chau wrote - acted angrily to his presence as he tried to attempt to speak their language and sing "worship songs" to them, he wrote.

"I hollered, 'My name is John, I love you and Jesus loves you,' " he wrote in his journal. One of the juveniles shot at him with an arrow, which pierced his waterproof Bible, he wrote.

"You guys might think I'm crazy in all this but I think it's worthwhile to declare Jesus to these people," he wrote in a last note to his family on Nov. 16, shortly before he left the safety of the fishing boat to meet the tribesmen on the island. "God, I don't want to die," he wrote.

Fishermen saw the tribe burying his body on the beach the following day, a fellow missionary wrote in an email to his mother, Lynda Adams-Chau of Vancouver, Washington.

What are your views on the above-stated situation?

Open discussion welcome!

It is weird to me

as I look at the blogs and see all the obsessive compulsive s whining either about Trump kicking Hillary off the line, or, asking Jesus to please come destroy the world quickly so the disbelievers can hurry up and burn in Hell fire while the believers passing judgment (really just a food quality inspection) dissolve into little flecks of God food and are absorbed into his palace as food. Doesn't anyone here want to just blog about o*gasm and s*xual positions anymore?

A messiah a day....

How many have there been? Reincarnation or fairy tales?

Poor Jesus. Just another hamster on the great wheel of karma

Thoughts of Barnsley from Abroad

On their journey to Italy, after secretly marrying in September 1846, Robert Browning and Elizabeth Barrett travelled through South Yorkshire and rested overnight in the picturesque market town of Barnsley. Although their stay there was the briefest of visits it was long enough for Browning to completely fall in love with the place. After living in Italy for some time Browning became increasingly preoccupied with recollections of “that rustic jewel set in Yorkshire’s Eden”, and his longing to again see the town finally manifested itself in one of his most well known poems.

God is Good

Jesus said:no one is Good but God is Good.
The Goodness comes from God to Jesus,to Angels and to men.
some people who know not God say:many children die hungry or killed, how God can be Good?
Well, you can,t love children more than God do love them.
There are children that their mother or father are caught in sin,in adultery or other bad sin and so their children die because are poor light, those children who their mother and father are pure and true love,
their children are protected from God and so do not die hungry and are not killed.because they are with full light. So God want no one be killed or die,it is sin and evil that kill or make men die.

God is Good.there are Good powers and evil powers,Good powers are from God, but evil powers are from devil. There are Good tree and bad tree, good tree produce good fruits and can,t make bad.
Bad tree produce bad fruits and can,t make good.
So there is Good and there is evil.Good do always good but evil do always evil.
Therefore law said: love God with all heart.., and love your neighbours as yourself.
So those who know not God, can say bad things about God and so they sin.
Those who know God can say good things about God and so are blessed.
It is only God who can forgive your sins, therefore be humble before God and ask God to forgive your sins and so get saved.
So let people come to know God,read bible and learn, read new testament and know Jesus and read
old testament and know God.do it before is too late, and so be saved. you need obey commandments
so believe and obey God and you shall be saved.
God is Good and God is Love, wisdom and power.
Seek Truth and you shall find.

God bless, nice day.

Glimpses of His Image

Glimpses of His Image

I see each of you as a canvas. A unique piece of art. Each one entirely different from the next. A form of expression, captured only for a moment, however fleeting, only to continue on into the formation of the ever changing you.

The beauty of each individual is expressed through energies taking form in character such as artistic abilities, music vibrations, or loving and compassionate poems and writings.

We are here to reveal the truth of love, on the canvas of life.

Some choose to be a large patch of darkness, exhibiting no distinct or vibrant colors, dark... like death itself. These negative emotions and vibrations will someday find their place, as they make their journey through the universe.

I shall splash my canvas with bright colors of light and compassionate hues, reflections of kindness, toned with peaceful, gentle waves of joyful images which captivate those who pass by, if only for a moment, in the reality of having been in the presence of pure love.

Truly... Glimpses of His Image...
