The Grand Tour season 3 episode 1 - a review!

Something new for this blog: A review of a 13 episode series! This time, I am reviewing The Grand Tour Season 3.

The first two seasons were full of fun, amazing and sometimes cringy stuff, but the opening scene in season one still remains the best things I have ever seen!

So what does season 3 have in store for us? A bit of violence, a bit of speed and a LOT of momentum! Episode 1 opens up with the trio entering the tent, and Jeremy Clarkson presents a montage of what to expect over the next 13 weeks.

After that, it's time for the best thing ever: Three violent, screaming muscle cars: The Dodge Demon, the Ford Mustang RTR and the insane Hennessey Exorcist, which is a Chevrolet Camaro boosted to 1000 horsepower. The trio aims to find out which of the cars is the best one, and to some extend, which one is worth it the most at its given pricepoint. To figure that out, they take the cars to Motor City - Detroit!

After a series of tests, it's back to the tent, and on to conversation street. It's then time for a test drive of the McLaren Senna, which is such an amazing piece. That car is mad! It's then back to the test in Detroit, and the Demon has some surprisingly annoying features to it. What those features are, I will not spoil here, in case you want to see the episode for yourself

I really enjoyed the episode, and I really look forward to the next one in a weeks time!

The Grand Tour Season 3 is available now on Amazon Prime!

I wish you read it...

Yes I confess I was wrong. I realised it just after but couldn't apologize. I do it now.
My mind was playing games with me by assurances and reassurances that it was not that bad as she claimed and that she mistook and misunderstood me
But those mind games are crystally clear to me now. Yes for sure, I insulted her. I know it's too late 8 long years late.
She was so enthusiastic. She was so energetic and vibrant. I killed her innocent advances... I killed something precious within her. Yes I did How could I be that mean.
If you can forgive me... come lets play again.
I know you didn't stop playing chess after this mishap.

Females and mechanical things---such as automobiles....

Sure, there are clued lady mechanics, and race car drivers. Recall that weeny worshiper Amelia Ehrhardt. But in my experience, there is a strong inverse correlation betwen just what women know about such things, and how jealously they guard related imagined perogatives. So, our brilliant graduare twins will need a vehicle for work or more schooling. Mind you, dad buys antique modes of transportation. Touring MC, head turning sports car, solid coastal sail cruisers, and so on. Cheap and do what is expected of them. A joy to maintain. But the girls' mom, Godess bless her, will have none of it. So my default suggestion is to get them hybrid Subaru station wagons---environmentally sound and long lived. Of course, as with most things, dad will pay for most of the bills. Mother dear is listening to the car salesman, lowest of occupations, who avers that while there may be a savings in gas, long term hybrid maintenance is very costly. What?!?! No timing belts, fewer oil and trans services, almost no brake jobs---and lots more. Hopefully, daughters won't be so falsely swayed. But the PC world isn't kind to such valid thinking, based on experience.

Arrested Development

I started watching this show and it cheers me up every time. It's so silly and clever. It's so not PC. Lol I love it.

Drive-out tags...

When you buy a vehicle at a dealer, they often issue a temporary tag until they can get the permanent tag issued. For years, I've heard people reference this as a 'paper tag'
The paper tag is usually good for 2-3 weeks giving enough time for the dealership to process the official tag or sticker to validate the new or existing tag.
Today, I found there is an official name for the paper tag... it's called a DRIVE-OUT TAG.

In the news, a man and woman in Memphis, Tennessee were arrested for creating fake drive-out tags. Police found 236 of them!

Memphis Police Department found printers, tags, plastic laminator machine, a rifle, handgun, bag of marijuana, digital scales.

Each were charged with 236 counts of forging evidence of title assignments.
Among that, a list of other charges ranging to drug paraphernalia and possession of a weapon.

The Shelby County Fugitive Task Force passed the tip to the Memphis Police Department who made the search and arrests.

Fraudulent drive-out tags...

Jay Leno breaks the Bugatti Chiron speed record of 9.4 seconds doing a 1/4 mile in 9.247 seconds with the Tesla Model S Plaid. His record was short lived as later in the day, a Tesla driver does 9.234 breaking Leno's record for the title of the fastest production car.
