If you're close to Niagra Falls, Ontario, there are some nice wines available there at a reasonable price, same for the Kelowna, BC area too. That's where the wineries are.

I dunno about New Brunswick, never been there. I know a few Newfies that brew some really nice 'shine though.
Lots of snow still on the ground here out west too, but it's above freezing, and sunny.
Maybe switch to vodka, more bang for your buck.
