How does it feel? Personally I like it. I also feel that true change is in it's infancy stage. Just wait 20-40 years. The young generation is mostly registered as independents...meaning that a new Political Party is just waiting to happen and take over.
We need a new Political Party to oppose the Dems-Rebubs...and not no Socialist Party...

The Republican Party will be a thing of the past, much like the Whig Party and Federalist Party.

Discuss...

and one more time, everybody together...

LOL!! You're a trip!

I did hear on the radio this morning that Colin Powell said that the Republican Party is in trouble. Has he ever changed his affiliation? confused

Perhap's...but I have no respect for the person who single handedly is trying to destroy my constitution and way of life. Our forefather's fought and died to make this country the leader in the free world that it is today and so did I and the many who are still fighting. Freedom is not at all free, it comes with a price, and that idiot in Washington is doing his best to destroy it....and no I am not a republican either. I did'nt much care for Bush, but he was the best alternative at the time. BUSH'S big problem....He lost focus! Not to mention he did'nt possess the smarts of his father...thumbs up

Seems to me that O'Bama is a good public speaker, reasonably smart and politically centrist. Your forefathers might be surprised about the country you live in but I doubt they would pick on O'bama as the worst thing about it! thumbs down

My personal forefathers also fought for our country & freedom. My father was in the USAF during the Vietnam Conflict. He saw the demise of our country during the Bush Administration. When I talk politics with him, he couldn't be happier that Bush is out & Obama is trying to turn our battered economy & country back around. He just needs time. We gave Bush 8 years to ruin us, we should at least give Obama that much time, shouldn't we?

I also had a grandfather in the Merchant Marines, one uncle in the Navy, one in the Army, & one in the Marines. If my family doesn't love their country, I don't know whose does. dunno

Nobody has to do my thinking for me, I'm quite capable of doing that for myself. BTW I've given 7 years of my life in service to my country...how many have you given in service to your's? Let me guess, 0. It is people like you who enjoy the free ride as long as they don't have to become personally involved with the process. All criticism and no contribution.thumbs up

lol laugh

Typical response by a narrow minded American.

So you served in military YAY...that was like many moons ago. Things have changed my friend. And you don't know any better just because you served...just makes you more hardheadedthumbs down

I am part of the process. I voted for Obama and war/threats is not the answer...

Sounds like you were a Marine.

Some visionary you are...roll eyes

Are you talking to me wixie? If you call picking up roots, losing friends & moving to a whole new world & culture every couple of years enjoying the free ride, I guess you're right. If you call not knowing if your father or any of your uncles were going to be called to war during Vietnam, I guess you're right. If you call being treated as one of the troops at home & having to go as far as saying yes sir & no sir a free ride, I guess you're right.

BTW, my father was career Air Force... served 17 1/2 years. He would've served much longer, but suffered an aneurysm at the office one day.
