BebeII: So the system sucks. Why then give more power to them to control our lives? Those who voted for Obama have done just that-his playing footsie with radicals was ignored.
Well, I think I trust the government to do a more responsible, honest, and good job with our society than private interest groups and Plutocrats who abused their power and manipulated the system in so many ways...like the housing disaster/NINA (no income-no assets) loans. We should at least give this administration a chance to see how things shape up. Yes, we're off to a bumpy start, but that seems normal when so many things are in the process of being overhauled.
What, you thought you are in a capitalist democracy? If you really dissect this issue, you'll find that Obama wants to get away from private corporation's influence on our government, though he was forced a couple of hands in order to win the election and to get to where he wants us to go.
And please don't cite examples of the former USSR, China, or North Korea...we're not going that way.

I don't look to the government to do anything but enforce the law and then stay out of the way. Had this government of do-gooders not tried to ease loan rules, we wouldn't have this problem. Normally, people were expected to lay down a minimum of 10-20% to buy a home and have a 30 year mortgage, but that was turned upside down in part over complaints that banks were discriminating against minorities. Obama is interfering illegally in many industries and banks-witness those who are trying to return TARP money and being rebuffed. They now realize belatedly what he wants in return-control-and their having no part of it. They have only themselves to blame, but it still doesn't excuse his behavior.

You couldn't do that though.....who would you blame for all your problems? Mexicans?
StressFree: How does it feel? Personally I like it. I also feel that true change is in it's infancy stage. Just wait 20-40 years. The young generation is mostly registered as independents...meaning that a new Political Party is just waiting to happen and take over. We need a new Political Party to oppose the Dems-Rebubs...and not no Socialist Party...
The Republican Party will be a thing of the past, much like the Whig Party and Federalist Party.

and one more time, everybody together...
REPUBLICAN RULE NO MORE
Waaaaah! Looks like we will have to get together and start an anti-freedom political party.

I'm still enjoying it after Bush's 8 years of epic fail.

But how come you constantly have to harp on it,not too sure, are ya?
I was just a little bored, and wanted to see a huge clash break out here in this thread
Somebody is going to set me straight by posting skewed facts from conservative and right wing websites---or even Alex Jones' and Icke's website
In any case, America needs a new damn political party to fairly represent the American people. Having only two political parties with influence in America is a joke. An outright joke. If this doesn't change, then the American deserve the constant fail of their elected leaders.
