In a white paper by a NeoCon stink-tank called Project for a New American Century (strongly linked to the Council on Foreign Relations), in a section entitled Rebuilding America's Defenses, the study called for massive militarization of American Society and heavy deployment around the world. But it lamented that such measures wouldn't be approved of by the American people unless there were some "catastrophic and catalyzing event, like a new Pearl Harbor."

That study came out in 2000 and right away plans for the invasion of Afghanistan and Irak began. But how could the US invade poor defenseless countries without provocation.

And then just in the nick of time, like a bolt out of the blue, the needed "catastrophic and catalyzing event like a new Pearl Harbor" appeared as if by magic in the form of 911. What a lucky coincidence huh?

calmheartseeks: She doesn't understand non-belief because to her she has so much reason for belief. Her question was to honestly understand why other people did not feel the same. You claim she 'does not have knowlege' because of what she believes. How do you know what she has studied and the full extent of her understanding? As for researching the full history of religion, perhaps she has done so and come to a different conclusion that you have.

You presented some "facts" in another thread that are debatable about Christianity and paganism. Okay, you believe they are true, I understand that an it is your right. But there is good argument that they are false. I won't go into it here, each one does their own research and comes to their own belief. That should be respected.

You call her close minded because she asks a question to learn more about what others believe? Most of us are still learning, and don't claim to have all the answers.
