lovinglaura: I have never heard so many aweful and hurtful comments about our God before in my life. It saddens me to see that the people that Jesus Christ died for are still mocking him and rejecting him. Nobody else will ever love you as much as he does, so how can you make jokes about the one who suffered a horrible death on Calvery just so you could have a shot at going to Heaven. I do not understand this rejection and non-belief.

Some people think the moon is green.Do i have to believe in that?!
Some people think about Cinderella.Do i have to believe in that?!

seveneyes: the truth stands on its own. Sorry you are so sad and angry at life.

Huh? I'm happy and harmonic. And the people in my life are as well.

Why did you draw that conclusion that I'm sad and angry at life?

I love life!!!!

Erm, let's see, who used to burn people for not sharing the same beliefe? Christians burning non-believers, or the other way round?

I'd say this is really a case of the pot calling the kettle black scold

StressFree: You see, you have your truth and I have no problem with that. Believe as you wish, it's your reality and I have no need to control how you believe or sway you. I just express my truth, and you don't respect other people's truth with your evangelism. I do get irritated when you incessantly claim your truth is the absolute truth for everybody else.

I exist because I'm here to learn, live, and evolve and possible devolve if I don't learn my lessons and become filled with negative energy and hate. I am on my journey and tied in with the collective journey here on this plane of existence on planet earth.

Life is full of lessons, overcoming adversity, and it's ongoing. I truly believe that is one of the main reasons we are here in an earthly existence, to learn our lessons, overcome, and evolve---become more mature, wise, and loving and ultimately maintain a sense of happiness! I mean, don't we always want to be happy? The problem is happy is not easily attained for a sustained amount of time for many. It takes work to achieve happiness and harmony.

The lessons of healing, lessons of love, lessons of understanding, lessons of patience are all lessons we try and learn. Some do, some don't.

Supposedly, the is no right or wrong. There are only consequences for our thoughts and actions---good and bad. So what is right or wrong for you, may not necessarily be right or wrong for others. It depends on your truth and how you perceive it and that's your right. So if you feel you you did something wrong or right, then that's your reality based on your own ethical code. Only you can feel this and may change your stance if given a different perspective if it connects with you.

I know things can get complicated when the discussion of absolute morals come up, but like I said, it all depends on how you value certain matters. Sure, common sense says that it's wrong to just go out and harm somebody for the fun of it, that's not an action coming from a person with a deep sense of self-awareness and harmony. I'd surely classify that as a negative action where nothing is gained. Actions that only draw negative energy fueled by the ego where a lesson is not gained and where somebody is intentionally harmed are actions that I can only see as drawing bad Karma---or sinning.

In any case, I think I'll stop there lol...this post got kinda long haha. I will say this, although I am Atheist, I do believe in the soul and spirit and that there is an afterlife. I believe in Karma (not in the way most western people define it) and I do strongly feel that we never die---our souls. We are energy and energy can never die---only transit to another existence---and that's a scientific fact.

I didn't read your whole post. I dont really care. I just wanna say that your relative truth theories dont impress gravity when you beleive you can fly and walk off of a cliff. Absolute truth is a reality weather you like it or not.

Conrad73: You have been making the claims,up to you to prove it!
So far you haven't done Diddlysquat!

It is each individual person's responsibility to seek after God/the truth with all their heart, mind, and understanding. I believe this is the primary action that will be weighed in our lives. So those who put the burden of proof of God's existence at the feet of others won't have much of an excuse for this passivity. "I didn't believe in God because no one could prove it to me." You must seek Him/this proof yourself. There are many things in the world that we believe in that are unseen. For example, many believe they have a soul and in a possible afterlife (that can't be proven) but they don't believe in God (because He allegedly can't be proven). This was posted by atheists in one of the threads to show they had their own spirituality.

No human being will be able to convert you to Christianity or any belief system that requires personal experience. They can only tell you what they themselves believe and of their own experience.

Yes and you believed in Santa as a child. And told by parents to be a good boy or you would not get presents, emphasis on being good boy to get a reward, so you complied. Ring any bells?? Be a good boy in this life and get a reward of heaven. Quite similar eh?? We all grow out of the Santa thing because we see the flaws and lies in it. Alas some fallacies are just perpetuated.

you cannot defend belief in an afterlife and embrace atheism at the same time. The two dont fit together unless you make up a fantasy to hold your exsistential struggle and your pessimism in limbo. If you do that, you will never "evolve' as you say.

I respect your views, but Jesus Christ's name has been hijacked by the likes of Kenneth Copeland and Benny Hinn who are only interested in building a financial empire based on peoples' insecurities. It's an industry! Manipulation of vulnerable people to get their hard-earned money. The gospels have been re-written to suit the times, we read only what they want us to see. Jesus was a good person, no doubt, but it was his twin brother Thomas who appeared after the "resurrection." Read the bible closely, it's all there.

that would be true if everyone had your experience scous. I myslef havent done anything in fear. I first learned of the afterlife and of love/compassion and wanted and still do work to have compassion and love. I do get irritated sometimes, but I do nothing out of fear when it comes to having eternal life. I will reject doing a certain thing though if I know that doing it will bring me negative consequence. I do fear hurting myself.
