Well...no need to yell!! If you want to make the bowing an issue go ahead, I still think it is no big deal! 70% Christians yes, but that is down from 86% in 1990 hmmm...that's quite a decline The Senate and Democrats voted for the war because they were all mislead and republicans and democrats alike have admitted that!! And yes, the programs I mentioned are wonderful as well as others to come..especially...health care!! And please don't be condescending...of course I know the difference between a trillion and a billion. Do you know the difference between throwing away money and investing it??? And thank you for your wishes of good luck...but keep them....I think you need it more!!!

So then, at 70%, you think it makes sense for Obama to tell the world we are not a Christian country?
I don't.
If the bowing is not a big deal, then why did Obama do it?

You don't make sense.
We are also 79% white population...does that make us a white country? I believe he is emphasizing the fact that America is a melting pot of religious beliefs and tolerance. As for the bowing, I think it was an honest mistake. He is super polite and is always being considerate...who knows? I don't think there is any underlying conspiracy theory...just an honest mis step. But I must say...if this kind of crap is the only things you can dwell on then I guess I should be please. Thank God there are no real issues to fear.

I think it's probably lower than 70%, a lot lower, but a lot of statistics are manipulted to suit the agenda, so it's irrelevent, seeing as how it's indecline. I doubt many people really ever think about their religious affiliation to verbalise that they are in fact, not Christian, in the current use of the term in the US.
The US is NOT a Christian country, and if you read the constitution, you'd realise that. There have been many debates over this hot topic, and check the archives of CS if you're too lazy to research the subject anywhere else.
What's wrong with the president of your country showing respect the the leader of another country, especially when it's the leader of a peaceful country? Is the US currently at war with Saudi Arabia? If so, please tell me when the war started, and why?

Yeah, I guess we are a white country actually. Probably won't be in the future, but we are now. And we are a Christian country, and Obama is a either lier, a fool, or a spin artist (same as a lier really). NONE of which I respect in my President. And he is a socialist, and an arrogant one, characteristics I also don't want in my President

And i was really expecting some constructive inputs from you! pardon me!
Actually, I am thrilled he is our President and I am certain I have nothing to be afraid of. You are entitled to your opinion and if you want to see America as a white/Christian country so be it. But, the facts are: Times are changing and our population is constantly evolving and the Republicans lost the election!!

Pull your head out .......and take a look around you.
The world and our country is changing and not understanding of a nation with arrogant diplomacy and beliefs. And, only you religous ones beleive this country is Christian and that we need to adhere to what our " Christian founding fathers" initially spelled out for us. This country is a mix of many religions, half-breeds, and some who choose to think out of the box for once. Call Obama all the names you care to .......He IS your president -and there's absolutely nothing you can do to change that. It's too bad you're disgruntled .........

I think this is very well stated, and I would like to see all the Liberal Obama supporters respond to the statements of fact contained in this letter:
The bowing to a King of Saudi Arabia? How do you Obama supporters account for that.
The statement that the United States is not a Christian country?
Why has there not been any investigation into Barney Frank's sterwardship of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac? Flagrant corruption and self dealing, but it is OK under this Democrat Administration?
Apologizing for the United States? For what.
MASSIVE Federal spending like the elected are royalty?
I think the Obama supporters are blinded by the MESSIAH, I only hope they wake up real soon.
Just to answer you're other questions....
Since when does the judiciary in the US have to reveal any information on a currently ongoing investigation? When does law enforcement have to answer your questions? For you to think that any wing/arm of the investigative establishments in the country would compromise their case/findings to suit your curiousity is ludricrous, at best.
That's not the way it works, although I have doubt that the entire "truth" will ever surface....business as ususal.
The spending started long before the Rep's lost the election, the promises were already made, so quit trying to blame the Dem's and Obama for that. If you were to look into all the dollars earmarked for all the spending that is now happening, you'd see that your beloved previous president and his band of merry men already set the course of action into motion.
Someone has to apologise for the arrogance of the previous administration. If you can't see that, then all hope is lost.
As far as Mr.Obama being any sort messiah, give your head a shake, anyone that believes that is truly delusional. There's no such thing as a messiah, let alone a mere mortal being portrayed as one. That's just more media BS to get people like you riled up, and others to stop seeing things as they really are.

Saudi Arabia has been extremely duplicitous in their handling of Al Quaida. I guess you forgot that most all of the September 11 bombers came from Saudi Arabia. In addition, the government, for years turned a blind eye towards madrassas that taught and supported, financially and otherwise, radical Islam. That is until the fanatics targeted the House of Saud, Then that corrupt government began going after the Wahabbis and other Jihadist Muslims with a vengance. How about that.
OBAMA SHOULD NEVER HAVE BOWED TO A KING OF SAUDI ARABIA, ESPECIALLY IF YOU KNEW THE HISTORY OF SAUDI ARABIA AND ISLAMIC TERRORISM.
They smile at you and stick a knife in your back when you turn.
I am not too lazy to look up the number of people in the United States that identify themselves as Christian, it is 76.5%.
You confuse the government and the people. The government is not Christian like for instance, the government of Spain is officially Catholic, but the people of the United States are by far Christian. And I know all about the separation of Church and state, which is not in the constitution or Bill of Rights. It basically is covered in the 1st amendment, freedom of religion. And the vast majority of Americans enjoy their freedom of religion as Christians. Therefore, in that regard, we are Christian country.
jvaski: You're think he and others would get it by now ..
Nahh they'll never get it!!! Cuz fundamentally we are just coming from two different places!! The Obama hater's are quite a passionate bunch tho...too bad their passion is disconnected from reality!
Actually, I do care how others see it ......I'm just enjoying rebutting all the usual crap some are laying on Obama.
Nothing personal ...... you're just wrong .......
Like I said, Pied Piper comes to mind here.
We still have over three years to see how Obama's popularity rating will stand. In just a little over seven months into his term, it's on the decline. There is a reason for that, no?

Just sayin'
His popularity is in decline because he had to make some tough decisions and changes and the Republicans have a huge smear campaign going!! Luckily, he doesn't care about popularity and he is just doing his job. I think we will see the numbers increase when the actual progress can be gauged. JMO

Don't be too sure it is conservatives that are disconnected from reality.
Conservatives are usually the ones paying the taxes.
