lookin4ubabe: First of all, ACORN has not been proven to be corrupt. Second, $4.2 billion dollars would be available to organizations like ACRON for so-called neighborhood revitalization....no where in the stimulus package does it allocate any money specifically for ACORN!!
RIGHT, RIGHT, RIGHT.
Do you really believe that??
Besides, since when is it the government's responsibility to revitalize a neighborhood?
Real Estate investors can do that much more cost effectively.
All the government needs to do is get the zoning right.

you still arguing with these "brainwashed" guys!! Just lay it off dear because you will get only more and more tired!

That should not cost $4.2 billion I don't think.
I meant neighborhood stabilization not revitalization!! The money would be doled out to groups to buy up abandoned and foreclosed homes, to rehabilitate them and then sell or rent them out. The government already has such a program, but the money is only available to government agencies. The stimulus package would allow nonprofits to compete for this kind of work as well.

It's so funny cuz, I have totally avoided the Obama threads for a couple months now...cuz I get so wound up!! But tonight I was feeling a little fired up and I'm glad I had these discussions tonight, it just reaffirms that they have all lost their ever lovin minds!! And I mean that in the nicest way!!
lights: For a person that isn't an American, you sure pretend to know a lot about the United States.
And you sound pretty arrogant too. (Thought you liberal hated arrogance)
BTW, to keep you straight, yes, Catholics are Christians. Surprised you did not know that.
It's not a matter of pretend, it's the facts. You may not like the fact, but there are more people that know about American politics/history better than the American people themselves, maybe even the politicians.
Not arrogant, educated, there is a difference. I'd like to ask you why you think I'm a Liberal? Is it because I don't buy your BS?
As for the Catholic/Christian issue, I just figured I'd ask, to see if you were a right wing Christian fanatic. It's all the same to me really, as I don't believe the same as most do.

You seem to have highly selective insights there "lights".
If a Canadian can't understand the US, right next door, same language and all, how is it that you can know so much about what Saudi Arabia ought to do.
And how is it that the US is all over the globe invading countries and installing puppet régimes.
Does Obama know better what the Iraqis should do than the Iraqis themselves?
And no, Catholics are not necessarily Christians. Neither are Protestants. Being a Christian is an individual transformation that is not dependant upon, and cannot be controlled by, any religious organization.
There are certainly both Catholic and Protestant Christians. But there are also Catholic and Protestant Anti-Christians.
It's not our call either way.
As Jesus himself said, a lot of people are going to be surprised to find out which camp they are really in.

I'm an American myself, but having travelled all over the world, I find Americans to generally be the least aware and least concerned about politics in general and especially anything outside their borders.
Their current economic mess is the result of people ignoring all reason and blindly following leaders down the primrose path. And I'm sure they follow Obama right into a police state.
YouMeUs: Like I said, Pied Piper comes to mind here. We still have over three years to see how Obama's popularity rating will stand. In just a little over seven months into his term, it's on the decline. There is a reason for that, no?
Just sayin'
Yup, any time someone steps in after a long period of a corrupt administration and tries to straighten things up - he's gonna get the ousted regime screaming bloody murder ......

Conrad73: I am talking about MENTORS!http://www.wnd.com/index.php?fa=PAGE.view&pageId=78217
Well.......his father was hardly a mentor..he barely knew him!! The others listed are hardly mentors...come on??? I wish you would get your news from an unbiased source...like NPR or factcheck.org or other reputable sources!! This whole mentor crap was done over and over by the McCain campaign..old news, with no viable facts!!
