People (of both genders) have their preferences whom they wish to date, it wouldn't make sense to start a relationship if there is no attraction between two people. Hence specifying in their profiles what they want. Though it doesn't mean it's what they get. Again, both -- men and women.
And there is absolutely nothing wrong with a guy "who is trustworthy, honest, educated, loves kids", but it's going to be 'her' decision if you are *all that*.
arman_khan81: the idea grown by reviewing the profiles of girls i hv seen so far is something like -- they want handsome guys, they want loving and caring person and they want the guys to love them 4 what they r. but whats wrong with a guy who is trustworthy, honest, educated, loves kids, has faith on God but not handsome?? why the girls skip just seeing the photo? why they dont want to love a guy 4 what he is?????
NCC1968: Bukhaari states "The angels do not enter a house in which there is a dog or pictures."
He will understand that reference even if some don't.
This is a conundrum - pics are not allowed in Islam, but you need pics for success on the site.
As I said earlier - I like to listen and learn and I have MANY Muslim friends so......I catch stuff.....
ohh, u know Bukhaari. thats great. but u should not read bukhaari, because its a very compact book and without much explaination. muslim scholars read the bukhaarri with some additional books as references. the Quran is a revolution came to prophet Muhammad (pbuh) in a period of 23 years. so many things and regulations were updated during this period. bukhari includes all but true. but didnt mention what were changed. we r allowed to have dogs but not inside home only. we r not allowed 2 alcohol or any kind of intoxicants. we r not allowed 2 have physical relation with women b4 marriage. we give equal rights 2 our women. we give charity 2 the poor. we take care of our old parents as they did in our childhood. we dont send them to any old care centers....... haha. thats a lot. but the problem is most muslims dont follow and dont even know what and how they should b. they dont study the screaptures
My Bukhaari is big.....many volumes - given to me by Saudi friends. My first Quran was sent to me (actually 40 were sent)from the Saudi embassy......the very nice big blue books.
I'll "let the cat out of the bag" as we say......I was Muslim so there is some understanding in what I say(write)
I well understand the problems w/ making Islam a current and modern faith.....which sometimes runs into problems because negating ancient ways is very difficult.

I don't mean to be rude here but you say you give women equal rights correct? Maybe I've got it wrong, but aren't muslim wives expected to always be 2 or 3 steps behing their husbands whilst walking down the street, and have to cover their faces in public? That doesn't sound too equal to me somehow. Correct me if I've got it wrong as I don't wish to offend you.

This thread has turned political and I am sure that was not the intention initially of the original poster. There are political threads where the subject of radical Islam is discussed.
However the original poster wnats a girlfriend and I would imagine one in his home country. I haven't searched to see if there is anyone from his home country on CS.
Or perhaps he wants to marry someone and move to the woman's home country?
If he wants a devout muslim woman there are websites that will offer you muslim women to marry, or perhaps use your local community to find you someone. Isn't that what usually happens?
But as I said just now, perhaps Europe or the USA is where he wants to find a wife.
arman_khan81: i also felt very sorry when i saw those images. even if the taliban did that bombing, they r not even 1% of the muslim poulation. so people should not judge the whole because of a minor group. and the idea i have about 9/11 is from some videos i got from different sources where the relatives of the victims blamed the US govt and some documentary made by the USA people. i never blamed USA people, they r friendly and i like my friends over there.
It is true there is a small group of people who think all Muslims are terrorists and that isn't right. If they had any wits about them they would realize this isn't true. Most people realize this. But there is fear and so unfortunately racial profiling exists particularly at the airports which isn't right either. There is also some racial tension.
I think the documentary and videos you may have watched are made by people that were anti Bush. I hated Bush myself but I know the truth about 9/11 and it wasn't an inside job. There will always be people who want to draw up conspiracy theories.

Well that is an age old problem that you have there my friend, and I dont think that any body has the answer, you just have to keep trying and I am sure that one day somebody will find you an attractive man because of your qualities as a man.
Veritaas: So what if the man has a beard, who is anyone else on this thread to insult him and the way he looks, because that is what some of you have done right here.
What has he done to any of you personally? Has he insulted anyone here by the way they look, no, he has not.
Perhaps one should take a good look in the mirror at themselves and be honest about what they really see.
I always thought it was to control the women, so the husbands didn't have to worry about other men looking at them. And some can't wear make up right? Some of them only have a slit just showing their eyes. That freaks me out.
In Vancouver I saw a couple ladies in the summer. They weren't wearing a full hijaab. They had more of their faces showing. But I was in shorts and a T-shirt and I was baking hot and these women were wearing regular clothes underneath and some sort of a hijaab as well and I'm thinking how are they doing it! They must have been sweltering. I was so hot so can't imagine how they felt. Boggles my mind.
Anyway, I don't mean to affend you. It's just hard to understand it all.
As normal this thread has gone completely away from what it was originally about, seems to happen alot when someone from this part of the world posts, its gets turned into something political and used as a way to start another heated discussion about Muslims.
What a pity on an Int forum more acceptance and respect for each others culture and religion can't be shown
No wonder there is so much bloody hatred in this world if we can't even get on here.

arman_khan81: this is ur idea and i know what happens in muslim countries more than u. hence i could not agree with u. i dont want 2 argue. its upto u. u may like my writings or not. its ok with me. i never use sffensive/insulting words 2 anyone, because i believe everyone has his/her own opinion
Wow so you know more about what happens in Muslim countries than I do, well thats just side stepping again and not adressing the issues........so explain the acid splashed in faces of young girls........their crime attending school? gee I havent seen that happen in any western countries
Guys, while I agree on your posts let's not bash him. I'm not happy with a lot of things that happen there. But I'm trying to learn and understand his culture even though I may not agree with most of it.
