Update From Sassy (54)

sassy49senior: I have been gone awhile but have an update. Most of you know that I met this most wonderful gentleman. Lyle and I have been together for 3 months now. We recently received the results from his brain scan. His doctor had us put speaker phone on as he wanted me to hear so I could explain it to Lyle later.
My sweetheart and lifelong companion has a form of brain dementia and there is nothing can be done. He will continue to lose his memory. But I LOVE this man with every ounce of love in this body. I refuse to believe nothing can be done and I work with Lyle on a daily basis to keep his brain remembering recent things we have talked about and recent things we have done. He remembers many years back but struggles with recent things. He is my love and I promised to take care of him for the rest of our time together.

Good luck to both of you Sassy,Keep a close eye on him,as people with this can forget where they live....So put a piece of paper in his billfold telling where he lives,or get him a bracelet and have the address put on it in case he gets lost.
