In the interest of a somewhat serious debate - I don't like and never have liked the policies of Fine Gael.

I'll probably vote Labour/Sinn Fein and hope that between them they get the numbers to occupy a government... (fingers crossed) sigh

Thats a very glib and meaningless comment with no basis in fact. Politicians are people just like you and me who put their heads above the parapet and seek election. Not many people do it and its no wonder because people like you are just out to knock them without having hard facts to back up what you say. There are good politicians and bad politicians just like every walk of life. And remember they are elected politicians because we elected them, never forget that.

I wish they'd got rid of him last year! And hes done a deal with Sarcose's brother in France to sell his consortium the AIB! They've actually taken their parish pump politics to France now! It's not getting sold to the highest bidder so it looks like more of the same insider trading.

I think he's another Cowen and a coward to boot! He's had an open goal for over 2 years and only succeeded in shooting himself in the foot! The only time I saw him fight was to keep his job. Never once did he put Cowen and Co under pressure through all this mess!

I have no respect for the man and it grieves me that this election will not have been won by him. It will have been lost by Cowen!frustrated

Enda Kenny will not be voted in as a positive endorsement of his political skills. He will be the beneficiary of the biggest protest vote this state has known. He will be elected despite himself and will not have the confidence of the people he governs....

I don't get what you mean by your comment about AIB and selling the consortium, i keep up to date with all thats going on but i am at a loss to know what your on about?
I also don't get why everybody dislikes Enda, I don't agree with everything he has done, far from it but even his strongest opponents have to admit he has put together a very strong team around him.
We are obsessed with style in this country, people forget we had style in abundance with Bertie and look where that got us.

The polls suggest otherwise, he is the leader of what is going to be the biggest party after the election, plus protest votes will go to the left and Sinn Fein and not Fine Gael. So you are factually wrong in what you say.

The only way FG can ever get the predicted votes is a protest. Do you honestly believe he has the confidence of the majority of the population? roll eyes

Do you honestly think those who want to register a protest vote are leaning towards Fine Gael, i doubt they are. Therefore in my view he and his team must have the confidence of the people that will vote for them.

The Bank of Ireland is to be the National State Bank and the AIB is to be sold off to a consortium led by the brother of the French premier!

I think it was confirmed on Vincent Brown about Sarcose!

Your view is seriously misguided. The protest this time seems to be trying to ensure an alternative government.

As for Enda's 'team'....he doesn't have one....the same 4 or 5 are trotted out for everything. Noonan, Varadkar, Reilly. Approx 16 ministers needed and the talent isn't there. Remember this party is equally as divided as FF were.

I'm so glad the Irish Taxpayer paid off the AIB debts so Sarko's gang could suck up the profits. I wonder which consortiae are waiting to buy up the other bailed out banks at a snip? More friends of the Brians?

With all due respect I wouldn't go quoting Vincent Browne as a basis for backing up comments, particularly when it comes to Enda and Fine Gael....(He told Enda to go into a room with a bottle of whiskey and a loaded shotgun don't forget). Also why not sell AIB, we have shown we can't run banks ourselves.

Again I disagree, what about Shatter, O'Dowd, Coveney and Flanagan to name but a few.
Also electing a government is not done out of protest, again i repeat if people want to protest they will vote for the ULA, SF and other left wing groups, they aren't going to vote for an establishment party like FG, doesn't make sense.
