im just being honest about how i see it and id never vote fg they had councillors wanting to electronically tag travelers 
or the guy on frontline who accused travelers of ethnic cleansing 
(only more jews died than gypsies in camps)

I can quite easily believe it, after all, look at Cowen, elected Taoiseach by FF, not by the people, continued on as Taoiseach, even though he made a mess of it, and is still Taoiseach, even though he has resigned.

I have an idea.
I think that before a new Taoiseach is allowed then a general election has to be held to confirm the parties right to decide the new Taoiseach.
This would give the people an indirect say in the post.

but that is just ridiculous, the taoiseach is only elected by his own constituents as a td, we dont vote for taoiseach we vote for tds

But by having a general election, the people would confirm the parties in the dail, and these parties would then have an up to date mandate to decide on the Taoiseach.

its time we started geneticly modifying our civil servants and politicans
yes folks we will breed a new race of clones with an extra arm
all civil servants will now have to meet the requiremt that they all have at least 3 arms
2 for typing (work)
and the spare one so they can still scratch their bollix,
women can scratch whatever
we can gene splice our new ledaer(not taoiseach,who thought of that makeyuppy name )
anyway

stalin for his ruthlessness
clinton for his brazenness
ghnandhi for his diplomatic skills
garret fitzgerald for his honesty and intelligence
