NoeloD076: With all due respect I wouldn't go quoting Vincent Browne as a basis for backing up comments, particularly when it comes to Enda and Fine Gael....(He told Enda to go into a room with a bottle of whiskey and a loaded shotgun don't forget). Also why not sell AIB, we have shown we can't run banks ourselves.

Oh, it wasn't Vincent that said it! It was Noonan!

But I think you're pretending to know things about which you have no basic understanding. You're simply repeating FG sound bytes and towing the party line.

I remember Mary Hanafin saying the exact same thing about a revolver and a bottle of whiskey after the first Lisbon vote and not a word was said!

The truth is that RTE were pandering to FF till they were sure they were going. Only TV3, Ursula Halligan and Vincent Brown were telling us the truth about FF imploding, the banking crisis and the arrival of the IMF!

And I think you'll find Enda and co just as self serving as their predecessors!

KingLeonidas: id love to see a lab sf coalition but lab wont do it what you will see will be FG/Labour with Enda Kenny as Taoiseach and Labour contributing a MfF which would naturally be Joan Burton imo i myself will be voting sf enda kenny will destroy ireland

Why do you reckon Enda will destroy the country, what has he done to give you a basis for that prediction?

NoeloD076: Again I disagree, what about Shatter, O'Dowd, Coveney and Flanagan to name but a few.
Also electing a government is not done out of protest, again i repeat if people want to protest they will vote for the ULA, SF and other left wing groups, they aren't going to vote for an establishment party like FG, doesn't make sense.

Oh yes...all those who wanted Kenny out! rolling on the floor laughing

You can repeat what you want. Protests in the past were done as that, a little foot stomping. There is now a genuine anti FF sentiment and an educated electorate know that voting for small parties will not ensure the demise of FF. How you can attempt to defend Mr No Policies Kenny amuses me...

I'd actually like to see that too! It's about time somebody stood up for us! But what I don't know is if SF is only saying this because they know they won't be in power!conversing

all elected members of sf receive industrial wages now anyone can spin that and say will the money goes to the party anyway! but in my opinion its a good thing and leads to weeding out those who are there for themselves or for us

Get serious mate, do you not listen to the news? FG have been talking policy for years, they have loads of policies in healthcare, jobs, reform of government, transport, education, the Environment....do you want me to go on?

And i'm not defending him, i just sick of all this baseless Enda bashing which in most cases is without basis in fact (Or none that people can explain coherently)

Your opinion, obviously the majority of those asked in the opinion poles disagree with you.

sunday business post/ red c poll :

Asked which of the main party leaders would make the best taoiseach irrespective of party support, 31 per cent preferred Martin, 26 per cent nominated Eamon Gilmore, while 19 per cent said they preferred Enda Kenny.

It is beyond me how Enda survived Brutons challenge to his leadership. And it would seem fine gael is on a shoe-in to be the next government.....cant they see that if they had bruton or varadkar as leader, they'd sweep the boards?! I appreciate that enda has built up the party since its last decimation..but dear god, he just hasnt got what it takes to be leader, or indeed taoiseach.....hes better in the backroom!
