I'm assuming that you made an assumption about something you assumed. Now did you assume rightly or wrongly and do you frequently assume that when you make assumptions on what you are assuming?
A beer to the person who can use the word "assume" or some variation of it more.GO!
maryrachelle: Yes apparently they do.They assume that because they see or here of "some" people who sit on welfare and do nothing because they are lazy, then this means that "everyone" who is on,or who has collected welfare is lazy and lacking pride and ambition.
That's YOUR assumption. One of many. It seems you also assume that there aren't people who sit on their asses collecting welfare because there are others who don't. Why is it that it is impossible to talk about this without some cockamamy defense of everyone on welfare based on the fact that some people are down on their luck, need it and won't be on it forever. They're not the problem we're talking about. We're talking about the chronic cases and the abusers and there are a lot of them.
Bodecia: Many assumptions have been made in this thread; many about me also. The fact that I don't know what Im talking about, the fact that Im American, the fact that I dislike and disrespect anyone on welfare..bla bla bla..
That fact that you quoted me kind of made me "assume" you were directing it at me.
That, I think, was a reasonable "assumption".
Are these 'facts' or 'assumptions'then....
I'm getting lost now..
Is it the 'assumption' you don't know what your talking about or the 'fact' you don't know what you're talking about..?
