Yesterday ...

I work on a plant in the middle of nowhere and suddenly we got a SANDSTORM....wind blowing at 50 miles /hr... I couldnt see anything at all 3 ft far...was scary and creepy and had a hard time breathing on my office ...everything was dust and more dust around , we had to wait till police took us out and a trip that normally takes me 1 hr from the plant to home...took us... almost 3 hours...

I must admit I was VERY scared and everything looked like the end of the world or something lol

Bike riding and Motor cycle riding are a thrill. The feel of fast and powerful wheels under feet makes us excited. Always wear a Helmut because we don’t know what is beyond the next curve…as in life.

Most dangerous thrill to date is a toss up between crash landing in a 412 helicopter with 8 people while fighting forest fire or being charged by a grizzly. Maybe the should be classified more as scary than thrilling.

thumbs up bodleing

Great video! Most people that climb need hand and footholds because they are amateurs. Again, great find on that video.

How about sky diving? Has anyone tried that?

That's pure adrenalin John...looks fantastic.

Some top end 'death' skiing here, in fact the video is a tribute to some who have died in their pursuit of the ultimate thrill.

Many people think snowmobiles are safe. Not always for Adventurers. It's not like driving a car on the highway.

I'd have to say zip lining last year in Costa Rica. Since I'm afraid of heights, it was a very big deal for me.

But "NO" on the sky diving, just couldn't do that.

Sky diving is not for me. I like to keep my feet near the ground.

The Game of billiards {pool} is much more to my fancy as a thrill.

One of the greatest thrills is for the few men and women who are lucky enough to be chosen for a space mission. With all of the training and hard work they put forth, it must be a great memory and feeling for them.

I tried to water ski once. This was a difficult effort because it’s not only dangerous, but the muscle pulls… on the back of your legs hurts intensely the day after. The professional skiers will also use a kite to fly over the water. Much responsibility depends on the boat driver, as well as the skier.

The Olympics is a thrill to watch. New to the next Olympics will be a pole dancing competition, believe it or not. This event normally occurs in strip clubs around the world. I wonder what clothing they will wear!

I've climbed this route, (Flying Butress, Stanage) it's a big overhang...this guy is making a right mess of it.laugh

Mind you, with the amount of gear he has clipped into his harness, it's no wonder.doh

Some won't think much of it but it was probably the most fun I've ever had.

It was June 10, 1991 when I went to a welcome home parade in New York for the troops who came home from the Gulf War. I took the train to New York and then the PATH train that goes under the World Trade Center.

I got to New York at 8:00 a.m. so that I would have a place in the front where the barricades were. People were coming by droves dressed in red, white and blue, carrying flags and thanking ANYBODY we saw in a military uniform. All the skyscrapers had a flag hanging off their windows. It was called The Canyon of Heroes.

The parade didn't start until noon and that was a problem cuz I needed a rest room but I didn't dare leave my place at the front of the barricades cause I knew I would never get it back so I just squeezed.

When military vehicles, tanks, jeeps, etc started coming down the street the crowd roared, clapped and we just couldn't get enough of the euphoria.

One guy in uniform came up to me and wrote his phone number on the inside of my arm. People around me saw him write it and probably thought, he'd have a good welcome home but sorry to say, I didn't call him.

My back was killing me from standing for six hours but I had the time of my life. During the Gulf War I had four penpals that I wrote to....no computer....hand written letters and I met one of them a couple months after the parade.

So my experience is a little corny but it really is the most fun I've ever had, clapping as everyone drove or walked down that street. I loved seeing the troops marching in perfect form but the person I wanted to see the most General Schwarzkopf, and I did see him. It was my thrill of my lifetime..wine
