Many consider Boxing as quite a thrill. I like amateur boxing the best, especially in the Olympics. Our professional boxers always start as amateurs.

I read the thread title as Greatest Trills.

I thought it was going to be a thread about champion budgies.

johnaustin123: What has been the greatest thrill of your life so far? Was the thrill dangerous? Was it a great love affair…boyfriend/girlfriend? Maybe with your Children or Family?

Share your stories with us:

This is a thrill that I will never forget. My Cousin Gary and I went to an amusement park named Cedar Point in Sandusky, Ohio to ride on the tallest roller coaster in the world at the time. We were only teenagers seeking a thrill.

We waited in line for a very long time to get a seat. We got the best one…in the front seat of the roller.

A careless park attendant was unable to lock the roll bar into position for us.

As Gary and I proceeded up the steep incline to the top, we panicked trying to lock the roll bar. We kept trying to slam it into position. We didn’t succeed until we arrived at the top.

A good thing we did…the ride down picked us off of our seats.

Gary had a pair of sunglasses in his shirt pocket. They flew from the pocket on the way down, never to be seen again. We almost lost our lives on that ride. Needless to say, we didn’t go for a second ride.

I think this is a lovely idea. This would be something I would be interested in, if I traveled that way. My friends and I don't do the hotel thing, when we travel, so boring.

Gliders are unique. Most have small engines to help them maneuver, but some don’t. It must be quite a joy ride.

When I first leant to ski back in the eighties I went to stay with a friend who lived in Val D'isere in the French alps. He was an accomplished skier and taught me, as he described it "army style, no surrender." Anyway on my first week there he took me down the infamous Piste Perdu despite the warning sign at the top saying...Danger, for very experienced skiers only...uh oh

It turned out to be quite an experience, high on my list of mountain thrills...yay

The first time I flew, I chartered a small airplane.
Sailing in the Pacific Ocean with friends and watching the land disappear.
Learning to ski alone and skiing alone.
The biggest thrill has to be raising a child alone and
watching her grown into the human she has become.

My greatest thrill is not ended yet. It is called living. I have had many exciting adventures. So many people in my town say I need to write a book about my life laugh It also has turned me into almost living as a recluse. blues Giving birth to my two children was awesome. Seeing them grow up and have children of their own was defineately thrilling. I drove demo derby at the age of seventeen, not many women on the track back then. That was thrilling in a different way. Scared myself a few times badly giggle There are many different ways one can be thrilled. My greatest thrill yet? Ok I will tell you. I look back at all the things I have done and my greatest thrill is getting out of bed this morning knowing I have one more day to make it as I want to. There is no better thrill than knowing that. I can hug my children and grandchildren. I can call my sister. I can say good bye to my husbands family who has been here visiting this week. He can never do those things againplease Ok I am going to end this before you think I am total nut job but I am just thrilled to pieces to be alive right nowteddybear
