I spent 4 hours watering. 1 hour in the front and 3 hours in the back.
inside, with the air-con reading a good book. We have a heatwave in Perth atm, 10 days of above 40 degree heat, so I certainly didn't feel like venturing out to any Aussie Day activities.

Watched the flood that has isolated my semi-rural property and mourned the slow death of what used to be a great country.

I celebrated my first Austalia Day today with my flatmate doing a pub crawl in Sydney City , lost count of how many pubs we have been too and only just made it home now and have to go to work in morning 
I will survive as had a bloody good day and night and early morning lol
and meet lot of awesome people today

I slept until about 5pm and then played Gears Of War 3 for the remainder of the night.
jennywm: i had a good day at nelson bay sun came out ....was on a boat for the day
Ahhh Nelson Bay, Have many fond (and some not so fond ) memories of the bay. It was where we did part of the Navy Clearance Divers course back in the mid 60s. Much hard work and heartbreak on the courses, many good nights on the grog. Somewhere local was the Country Club Hotel, god they sold some beer to young sailors.
I had a great Australia Day first it was my friends birthday so we started at midday for a swim at our local leisure center being 41 degrees had a spa , steam room phew! as if it ain't hot enough outside 
Na! was great jumped back in pool to cool off whoohoo! Oh! had a perve while in the pool at the guys working out in the gym can see as open plan from pool windows all along the gym 
we both thought what a lovely way to relax and keep cool did manage to to some laps honest we did
Later that evening we went to local tavern had nice meal just as we finished & power went off and was told a few minutes later a drunken driver had driven smack bang into a brick wall of a home opposite the tavern and bought a power pole down on top of the house setting the house to be live wired lucky no one was home and no one was hurt ,driver way over the limit. always takes idiots to run a muck.
Other than that had a great Australia day
