We all have our own ideas of what makes us feel good and happy. If I could get this unicorn out of my backyard, I might be able to go forward.
Some dwell in the past, some live in the past, and some remember the past and want to progress. Yes, we remember the good times and the bad times and they do affect what we do next. And then we make our own choices what to do.
There is a fork in the path and it has 2 branches. Which one do you take when you do not know where it leads? You can only try and see if it is the right one for you.

I have found you to be caring sweet and very kindAs for Old' no damn way....you are where I was a few years ago and its not a good place to be, I was a brunette but as I got older the grey took hold, so purchased a soft blonde hair colour kept my hair just above shoulder length it took off 10 yrs so I was told as it softens the features.
If you are plump well' start doing something about it. inexperienced

Risky I know its hard darling and your confidence is so low now but to meet that man of your dreams you have to work at it ....they are so many guys that feel just like you do and all they want is someone genuine to love and care for...its a matter of finding him'you have to sort out the men from the boys' that could be a wee bit harder but very achievable.

You'll notice I chose my words carefully when posting this thread, using 'significant others' NOT lovers
I was simply putting the idea forward that for many a lifelong partnership is just not going to happen (and it hasn't for many of us which is what brought us here obviously) .. I've expressed before my thoughts that it's possibly an unrealistic expectation
It's also a way of saying that just because our important relationships have ended, it doesn't make us, or the relationship, a failure.
Life's full of surprises and there's nothing stopping us from getting out there and giving it all another go, then another and another, 3,7,19 whatever, if that's what it takes to make us happy and content

Just stating some of the remarks I have received. I've tried the hair colour being lighter but because of my colouring it works the opposite. Tried having my hair longer but I perspire that much I look like a drowned rat. Yes The weight is coming off. I walk, I swim and I exercise, all this since they changed my meds. I am rareing to go. That is why I am frustrated. LOL. No really I am fine my dear and at the moment busy sorting the good ones from the scum.
