epirb: Can't work Romney's healthcare plans out as his seem to be Obama's template . I listened to it on podcast radio and could not see how they behaved , Bama was by far the better speaker .
Glad there are people that can actually see, and listen, to obama and see he's such a loser, he's ruining the US economy and wants to do more damage. If you listened to the debate, and came away with any other conclusion, something is wrong.

ooby_dooby: Obama was off his game last night no doubt. Romney (notice I spelled his name correctly?) put on a good performance.
Beyond that I think the debate format was a mistake because it seemed to get out of control quite often. One thing I took away from the debate was it couldn't be more obvious that the tax code needs a MAJOR overhaul. This has been true for decades. Unfortunately, in this climate of political party polarisation in the country, I have no hope of that happening anytime soon. In fact, I think this is probably the worst time to tackle tax reform. I think it may be better to charge some big accounting firm to create a fair and balanced and simple tax code with no political ties to either party. Is it time for a flat tax?

The USA ran for 160 years on tariffs without any income taxes but to pay for wars here and there. There is no reason we can't go back to tariffs, all the more so because other countries tariff our goods. It is no biz of the Gov how we make.
As "WE" pay these dinks in DC so much it's about time they "EARNED" that pay and got "us" off the hook to pay for everything and made the foreign companies pay for a change.
Right now those companies skirt taxes doing a paper FU in a port before the goods get here. Tax being based on profit has a GIANT loophole built in. Tariffs made payable right there on the docks have no such loopholes.
As far as I'm concerned there is no such thing a "fair" tax places on any US citizens earnings. Also google Tom Crier and see where he beat the IRS proving earnings are not taxable thats barter not income!
