When people of different opinions work together, whether in marriage or politics, a mutual understanding can be gotten. It's called..compromise and it works very well. He's not going to be impeached. Graduating from Harvard doesn't make you smart so give him a break.
He knows that he has to change HIS agenda to an agenda for the country.
He knows that a good part of the country didn't want him to be re-elected. Think of how embarrassed he is. He will go out on the road and wonder if the next person he shakes hands with was one who voted against him.
He'll look pretty bad in 2016 if he doesn't turn it around. Now he has something to prove.

You should minimalise your campaigns to two months at maximum. Life will be easier.

They should have let him do want he proposed & when/IF it failed at least they could say it was his proposals that didn't work. As it is the Rs can't really make a valid claim to that since they obstructed most things all the way along! And so now who's to say they wouldn't have worked, had they not been obstructed? I think both showed great sportsmanship & respect for each other in their respective speeches!
Just like John McCain did in 2008.
