gardenhackle: I registered here in July 2010, recently separated and not yet divorced, looking for someone local. And I specified US only but as things would have it, through the poetry corner and some discussions on the forums, I ended up engaging in PM's with the lovely LadyBee42 from Ireland. Little did I know what was to come. And within a couple months, I began thinking maybe Ireland isn't so far, after all. We met for the first time in Waterford, Ireland in September 2010 for a week. Then again in November on the Outer Banks of NC for a week. Then she visited me for Christmas and stayed until March. Since then, it's been around three months together and three months separated with the separations getting more and more painful with each iteration.

Our Visa Journey (visajourney.com was an outstanding aid) began in February 2012 as we submitted the paperwork to start the K1 process. Now, almost a full year later, we are days away from her getting her K1 visa stamped passport in the mail and we'll be looking for the first flight out of Dublin the moment she has that passport in her lovely little hands.

I've never met anyone that I've been such fast friends with nor anyone I could be happier about spending my life with. There are lots of scammers on this site but also some truly amazing people and I am eternally grateful that there was some venue that allowed us to meet because I'm not one for irrational metaphysical musings, but if there is a soul mate, I am convinced that it's my fiance. She is truly a treasure to me.

Thank you, CS. Very, very much.

wish u all the best for ur weddingyay yay

That is fabulous news. I wish you a long and very happy life together.

An Old Irish Blessing

May love and laughter light your days,
and warm your heart and home.
May good and faithful friends be yours,
wherever you may roam.
May peace and plenty bless your world
with joy that long endures.
May all life's passing seasons
bring the best to you and yours!

Wishing you always...
Walls for the wind,
A roof for the rain
And tea beside the fire.
Laughter to cheer you,
Those you love near you,
And all that your heart may desire

And...for your special day

Irish Marriage Blessing

May God be with you and bless you.
May you see your children's children.
May you be poor in misfortunes
and rich in blessings.
May you know nothing but happiness
from this day forward.

Maybe his song, "Great balls of fire. I saw him live back in the 1970's at a Rock n Roll Revival at Cobo Arena in Detroit, Michigan. He put on quite a show...even ripped his clothing off on stage, threw it to the audience and jumped out at the audience at the end of his wild piano playing. The place went wild that night! I was maybe only 21 yrs old at the time and still remember that crazy night. He's quite a character and showman.

Congratulations Gardenhackle and Ladybee. It is so nice to hear a happy story. May you both have many years together to laugh, cry and be beside each other through good times and bad. I too had found my special guy on this site in 2007, less than a month after I joined. I do believe that each of us has someone special in their life predestined. Where we find them and when...that is the question that none of us knows early on.heart wings teddybear bouquet

I soooo looove reading about success stories here , after thousand of sad threads complaining about men and women not being real , playing games , and etc.

This is what you like to hear about on a dating site right? encourages the rest of us to continue our own "love stories"

I wish you guys the best ever!!!!!!
