I MIGHT BE WRONG, BUT I USED TO THINK THAT BETTER EDUCATION EITHER FORMAL OR INFORMAL (THE MORE WE LEARNED) SOMEHOW CAN MAKE SOMEONE HAVE BETTER ATTITUDES TOWARDS OTHERS. WHEN WE THINK OR FEEL SOMEONE IS INSULTING, TO WHAT DEGREE OUR EDUCATION CAN STOP US FROM INSULTING THAT PERSON BACK? DO WE FEEL HAPPIER OR MORE SATISFIED AFTER INSULTING OTHERS? WHY CAN'T WE JUST IGNORE IT AND LET THE INSULT DIE?
I FOUND SOMETHING ON INTERNET REGARDING THIS EDUCATION-ATTITUDE.
There are two ways that your attitude can change:
(1) Education – Learning helps develop your attitude. For example, after learning about emotional intelligence in one of our workshops, participants reported an average of 55 percent improvement in their ability to deal with negative emotions.
It is easier to have the ‘right attitude’ if you have the right knowledge.
(2) Experiences – Experiences shape our attitudes. You can provide employees with the opportunity to think differently. For example, employees may have poor relationships until they are given an opportunity to bond together through team building exercises.
Home education forges the good attitude of the children, hence will depend on how each individual will manage the emotional intelligence throught their steps of live. hurted persons usually hurt.
And before one can identify, recognise one's incapacity one must learn. No acknowledgement and no willingness to learn will give no shift nor change. Education should be about learning and less about knowledge.

Education is a funny thing. One can excel in some areas but usually not all. So how do we decide whom is really the best educated. The one who can be dropped off in the middle of the swamp and survive and remain well fed yet has a low pay meaningless job and cannot even spell the word job? Or the one with the high paying job excellent vocabulary whom gets in a plane wreck and does not die yet dies from starvation trying to find their way out back to civilization so to speak. I believe attitude is a frame of mind. I can make choices on how I react to things in life. And it all depends on the space of my mind in life on how I react. Good day all is well car pulls out in front of me have to slam on brakes not to hit. Thought pattern thank goodness I am still alive. No problem all makes mistakes. Bad day grumpy car pull out in front of me. I lay on the horn pass them giving them the one finger salute whilst cussing.
KNenagh: I think it has a lot to do with the parents attitude, if they insist on school attendence, good qualification, these kids get a better education.
Look at families who are on the dole for generations, I think this boils down to attitude and not ability.
