Lately I have noticed that though I visit several other places on the internet I only see this happen when I log into CS or after I am here and click on threads or something. What happens is A whole new page pops up and it is "tuneuppro.com" for windows. There is another one as well. I have run about 7 different scanning programs and found some things that are out of place but nothing major. Could it be the aggressive and obsessive nature of all the ads on here? I have seen some here that if you dare hover over the wrong part of the page it directs you to another site but I have not seen as much of that lately. Just wondering if anyone else is experiencing this. If this is only happening on CS than maybe it is time to take a break. I really don't need all this tracking coolies and data miners. It is not considered malicious but it sure is not very reassuring. Thanks and happy dating. ;-}

Malware.
It is malicious. It's what's called a Browser Hijack

Hiya B I haven't experienced this on CS so I think there's some transient thing hanging around in your computer that's causing it. I found this link that is specific to the tuneuppro you mention so perhaps it will help.

Haven't seen his type of behavior on my home computing stuff. Maybe this is because I don't use Microsoft products?
Well, I have been off for about 24 hours or so and still running scans. Thanks to all that posted.. It does help. I just logged on and boom there I have a page that won't close unless you click on the "stay on this page" or " T want to leave this page" "reimageplus.com", And until now nothing. For some reason the malware at this point only acts up when I am on this site. Not sure what that means and I have used most everything except Combofix. I don't know why I wait so long but maybe it will get rid of it.

Here's another awesome freebie that does wonders for ridding the critters, as well as can block sites from downloading unwarranted hi-jacking junk to your PC. It has updates on a regular basis so as to keep your PC safe from new/latest malwares as well.

Thanks. I ran Combofix and it removed a file that may have been the issue. I believe it had cloned a system file and was hiding there. I am using a different computer while I continue to confirm it is gone. Always so time consuming.
unfortunately I have not been able to isolate the problem and I have run Combofix, Hitman, ADWcleaner,, spybot, superantispyware, Malwarebytes, And of course kept all databases up to date. I also run a cccleaner and other software that helps keep everything in very good order. If anyone has another idea please let me know....I run Windows 7 64 bit. Firefox. Microsoft Security Essentials. Microsoft Security Essentials has been very high in ratings and I have also used Avast AVG and this might be the direction I might try though I sure hate to change things when I only see this happen when I log on here. Maybe it is a combination of things but I just don't know what yet.....this is one reason I have not been on as much or leave suddenly because I see these pages pop up....maybe I will use a different browser though I have had this one reset as well. Anyway..maybe another guru can shine some light on this...till then I wish you all the best. send me a mail if you miss me and I will check it and return when I am notified. Sincerely, Dragos.
