Hi Robp...

wave

I like your carnations, blue wrens and double headed poppy photos... nice..

thank you...

am off for a day shoot tomorrow... so just hoping it doesn't rain all the day...

and just to say... My Lumix does not have a capability for a remote, need to use either a smart phone (which I do not have) or the 10 sec timer.. how odd?

re your blue flower above,

you have a focal of 228mm... and an Iso of 800 ( cant see noise) and f9 and 1/800

so I am guessing you have a zoom lens on that.. good shot...

Hi Robp...

I looked through these links, but no remote... there is not attachment capability... but no worries... I managed to connect it yesterday to a tablet and shot steady that way..

I also found some good lenses... the Leica lenses fit my machine, so all good... thank you.

Remote Shutter Cord - DMW-RS1

Introduction:

This remote cable can be used to trigger the camera shutter up to 1m(3ft) away from any compatible DSLR/SLR camera, such as the G3, GH2, G2, GH1, etc. It is electrically parallel to the shutter release button on the camera body, and therefore operates without transferring vibration from the photographer's hand. The lock-down feature is an additional function provided by the DMW-RS1 that is not available on the main camera body.

Condition: Brand New

Camera compatibility:

LUMIX GH4, GX7, G6, G5, GX1, GH3, G3, GH2, GH1, G10, G2, GF1, G1, FZ200, FZ150, FZ100, FZ50, FZ30

Operational Instruction:

Connection
First check the DMW-RS1 is not locked down. If you see a red line, slide the latch to cover the line and release the lock.
Switch your camera OFF or L, then push the plug of the DMW-RS1 all the way into the socket. If the camera is ON, the shutter
can sometimes fire as the DMW-RS1 is being plugged in or removed.

GX7-GX1-GH3-FZ200-FZ150-DMW-RS1-/200787636940?pt=AU_Cameras_Photographic_Accessories&hash=item2ebfe032cc

should plug into camera

On the front of the Panasonic Lumix DMC-GX7 is a small focus-assist and self-timer indicator lamp, lens release button, metal lens mount and the already mentioned chunky hand-grip. On the bottom is a metal tripod socket, importantly in-line with the middle of the lens barrel, and the shared battery compartment and SD/SDHC/SDXC memory card slot. The GX7 manages 320 shots using the supplied DMW-BLG10E 7.2V 1025mAh rechargeable Li-ion battery.

The right-hand side of the camera, looking from the rear, is empty save for the small NFC symbol (more on this later). On the left are ports for the remote socket, HDMI and AV Out/Digital connections, hidden beneath a plastic flap that annoyingly can only be opened when the LCD screen is tilted outwards. Underneath is a small microphone, with protruding metal eyelets on either side of the body for the supplied camera strap. Unfortunately, Panasonic don't include a HDMI cable as standard in the box, which means that you'll have to purchase one separately to take advantage of this camera's HD connectivity.
