In response to: What does it matter about the age difference in a Relationship.....

Someone around my age give or take 10 years, I could never have a relationship with someone who could be my children's age, I like partners who are at a similar phase in life to mine. Besides women my age I tend to find attractive more so than younger "girls", there's a lot to be said for life experience.wine

Each to their own as long as there is a healthy "balance" between the partners.

Personally I find an age difference where someone could be a parent iffy. uh oh

I prefer someone pretty close to my age and in a similar stage of life. wine

PrettyPrescious: I think for the most part, what is a "big gap" in age, is subjective, unless the 2 people involved are quite young. So other than that, what is seen as a "huge" gap to one person, may not be quite such a big deal to another. People do need to consider whether they may or may not wish to have (more?) kids. But some of the age gap couples last quite a long time, whereas so many similarly aged couples don't last....Love doesn't have a color and it doesn't have an age, either, it seems, in so many cases

Agree...I am dating a guy 12 years younger and allis great so far, my last bf is 6 years younger, before that, my bf is 13 year older than me and we lasted together for 17 years..all depends LOve is love!!!!smitten heart wings heart beating

felixis99: more like hopeful middle ages perverts...lol

just kidding guys.....wellllllll maybe not entirely

Would you like to sit on my lap, little girl?

Actually, I've seen several younger women (20's) older me (60ish) relationships, but they didn't last long.

Also one woman(40's) man(70's) which also didn't last long.

There is nothing wrong with the age difference in a genuine relationship. But when it comes to an age difference like 20/40-20/50-20/60 ecc.. ecc... it's something else.

I'm still figure in it out laugh

Personally I don't go bellow ~ 30's and above my age.

But there is lots to learn with an genuine age difference.

thumbs up

My ex was 21 years younger than me,it just doesn't work in the long term for a lasting relationship. Age matters.

On the bright side i have two lovely Children, who i Love dearly.

PrettyPrescious: What is a " big age difference"?

My man is 15 years younger.

I think the age difference is the business of the two people involved
.

My younger man is the one pushing for marriage--I've been a free spirit all my life, never been married....so I don't fit neatly into a sterotype.

Obstinance_Works: The cougar who can't grow up. Ten-a-penny!

It must be working for me because:

1. I'm happy, positive and emotionally stable

2. I've never been divorced

3. Never been in debt, nor homeless

4. Raised an autistic kid

5. Very healthy, still get carded too

I figure that I must be doing something right! My married friends are depressed, suffer from anxiety, have financial troubles, and all of my cousins have been married, divorced and re-married. So I guess I'll just continue to "not grow up" since it is beneficial to my health, and maybe I'll live to be 101 like they do on my dad's side, outliving all the ones who "grew up"

It depends on the two people involved, their chemistry and what they want out of the relationship in the end. They are adults and can decide for themselves.

i had been 4 years along with a woman 8 years older then me. She had been already lived what i wanted to live with her. How it can make me happy ? If she were non experienced it could be good. Because she would feel with me somethings first time and it would make me happy. But mainly older women just looking for share somethings about what they liked and lived in their past.. Not first time to live somethings special as 20's and no offense mainly older woman more sensitive and frigale bcz of bad experiences..

Depends on how big the gap is...

The difference in values, lifestyles etc leads to lack of understanding and arguments. It's called a generation gap. I have children, been there, done that. It was hard work. I need someone to complement me, sharing common ground. Thanks, but no thanks wine
