mollybaby: Which Stage Of The Relationship Do You Prefer?

Do you prefer the early stages, when it is all butterflies and lust?

Or the dating stage when you have gotten to know the person, but you still look forward to dressing up to meet them for dinner and drinks?

The comfortable stage, when you eat dinner watching tv, possibly living together, and know each other well enough to finish each other sentences?

I guess I'd better put in the late stage too, in case anybody enjoys the drama of breaking up...

The stage where she starts farting in the bed... and laughing about it. I normally stop it at that stage and tell her to get out!

laugh cool

I think all those stages of a relationship have their place. If one believes that it will be lust and butterflies forever, they may be deluded?

A relationship will take a natural progression and just because it seems after a while that its not the same excitement as in the beginning doesn't make that stage of the relationship any less significant or means that one cares any less. It just take a different form......

I don't relish the break-up of a partnership, nor do I seek any drama in it. But if its not working out, for whatever reason, there's no point in prolonging the agony.

Couldn't agree more. Only lust and butterflies won't stand...Dating and dressing up forever would be exhausting, but I would say for me the stage when you discover that you are actually in love and enjoy the life you have with that person, which may come at any stage.

Well said. I especially like what you said about break-ups. Not to be relished, but to be taken in perspective :)
And true, relationships do take a natural progression and each stage is equally enjoyable if both people are in synch and in it building something together.

I know it's only one line and one shouldn't judge on such a small comment. But I get the distinct feeling of disdain herehmmm

Many people like that initial thrill part more than the other stages.

I am not saying this is Serene's case, but this is often why people have affairs, or lots of partners, they are constantly seeking that initial high.

If a novena from a Non-believer will work, I'll say a quick one for you!

Although, I would say, if somebody tells you they are not interested, I would cut my losses there and then. If they are honest like me,they mean it grin
