i rarely eat sandwiches...
usually my first meal of the day is kefir, soy milk, flax and blueberries in the n-bullet....barf...laugh

but if i could, i would have cream cheese mixed with dates, and some alfalfa sprouts on some freshly buttered hot toasted rye bread, served with a rich dark coffee avec too much creamo....grin

Truly sorry it makes you puke, Maybe a nice cajun chicken slices and hard dry salami with Avocado, Nancy's Honey yogurt on a real sourdough slices of bread would be a nice change. If vegetarian than I am not sure what you would substitute.. But really don't want to see anyone puking each day, just not so good on the system.

That sounds good. I miss the mayo. I use white yogurt instead now but used to eat mayo. I would only have "best foods" brand. Do you have a certain brand that you like? (I know, pretty lame thread huh? lol, I know, I made it LOL) And you are a sweetheart for posting on it, seriously. thanks.

Just ended a faze of eating sandwiches at dinner for about three weeks. Don't want to see another deli sandwich for awhile, but it was great while it lasted... Italian buns, slices of roast beef, turkey and ham, lettuce, tomato and red onion slices, provolone & cheddar cheese. Mayonnaise and Italian vinaigrette on one side of the bun and ranch dress on the other side.

today was one of those that would have been perfect for just that. cooling off a bit now. I think the weather likes to tease us a bit with these nice sunny days then back to the overcast. LOL

How about some kind of a cool lemon drink? I bought this bottle of juice not realizing it was pure lemon juice. No water and organic not from concentrate. So I poured a glass of juice and wow! it is not meant to be drunken like that. LOL. So I have tried some different combinations as every tablespoon is a whole lemon! LOL..crazy. Good stuff though. I tried something kinda half way where I put a strong peppermint (Oregon Peppermint) tea bag and let it steep. then I had to add some cool water and tried a bit of vanilla syrup but I didn't have much of that so then I also made one using some apple juice to sweeten it. So if you have a special Lemon drink that you would share and of course your best sandwich than let us know! It is better than getting booted off for some politics or the usual things people debate about. Peace.

This is my recipe for cold Chicken sandwiches, which is especially suited for a warm summers day ...

Freshly baked Chicken... and using only the tender white meat cut or broken up into pieces, and whilst still warm mixed in with a little finely chopped up Spring Onion, Egg Mayonnaise, a little Classic (normal) Mayonnaise to sweeten, and a little Salt (optional). Mix all ingredients in a bowl, then refrigerate mixture (covered) for at least 12 hours so that flavours are allowed to develop.
Spread cold mixture approximately 5 cm thick between 2 slices of lightly buttered thick sliced bread... Eat and enjoy!

thumbs up
