Well of course what CC said, but moving into today..,
She is honest. She treats me right. Doesn't lie or cheat. Takes reasonable care of her health. Isn't bigoted. Has a value system. Likes animals and gardening. Is well read. Has an artistic side. Can skin a rabbit or run a trotline with the best of them. Knows a little about machinery and understands there is more to a car than just the wheels. She can hold her own if she has to, but is willing to be a full partner and dive into the muck with me too.

Good Looking, Intelligent, Well Read, Must like animals & nature, Non-Violent, kind, generous, soft-natured, loving, does not need looking after, has own money, strong personality (else I will walk all over him and there will be trouble). (That's all I can think of for now, but there's lots more)

I'm not much of conversationalist. Communicative...yes. Conversation falls into place over time. There's so much where simplicity is all that's needed and even more not worth nit-picking about.
With that said: I don't expect perfect. Being themselves is always preferred. Well Grounded, co-operative. Ability to see beyond here and now.
A little spontaneous. A little active. A little lazy. A do-er on most things and a procrastinator on others.
Likes being treated like a lady at times and an independent woman at others. Almost child-like on occasion.
Knows what the simple things truly are and can enjoy them as much as some of the more complicated things.
I could make a list....I'll call it good with this 1.
