So... a few people and I were discussing this subject. Which by the way, is a red flag to date your boss, and very unethical, don't do this folks. We heard this girl was dating her boss who's 20 years older than she is and apparently he has a car collection. The conclusion is that she's been dating him for the money, plus she can get a promotion because she's dating her boss. Nice move I guess but this is why many folks place a gold digger sticker in many women's faces... Some of us aren't gold digger, but some... I wouldn't say the same about them.... This girl apparently claimed her friends were saying that she was using her boss...

How do you guys feel about somebody dating their boss, specially if their boss has money?

Personally I think it's a terrible to date your boss. Your job/career can be put on the line when/if things don't work out. Your reputation is also something else to think about especially if he has money, the friendships you may have made with your co-workers could be destroyed, there's a lot at risk so I don't recommend it.

There's always going to be gold-diggers, unfortunately and there's nothing we can do about it.

2 intrigued.
Well it can't be harassment if they are dating... As long as they are both single , I don't see a problem.

When things go swimmingly, all is fine.

When things go belly up, it can turn ugly.

Business is business. Pleasure is pleasure.

I have never mixed the two, and stayed out of trouble.

It worked for me. thumbs up

Heck, gold diggers come in male and female. No one gender has the one-up on wanting to get in bed with money. No need to be hypocritical about it.

In principle I agree with you. My philosophy has always been that you keep all personal stuff far away from the work place and vice versa. Then again, I did meet my ex husband at work, but he wasn't my boss and I wasn't his boss. A lot of people meet at work, I think. It's just that when they're in the direct line of supervision, that things can get ugly for either party.

I dated a work colleague once. It ended.

It wasn't a large company and I felt too uncomfortable with the gossip and fallout afterward.

I resigned.

Admittedly he wasn't a supervisor, but it can be difficult to work around, once the relationship is over.

There are gold diggers of both genders, I have experienced different behaviour of guys towards myself depending on the guesses they took about my finances.

If someone tries to insult a whole gender because he doesn't get what he wants, it shows what type of person they are. Just look at the people on here whinging they can't get anyone because they don't have money - it's glaringly obvious it's their attitude and not money.

As for dating the boss - I keep my private life away from my working life and wouldn't want to date someone I work with on a daily basis, let alone someone who could make sure I loose my job or can make my working life hell if things don't work out.

That girl might have a rude awakening, but then, maybe not. It just hasn't got anything to do "why many folks place a gold digger sticker in many women's faces" in my opinion - it's just an excuse of some guys for not getting any and I don't tend to take guys like this serious.

Obstinance_Works: The workplace is the only place where the upper classes still have much to do with anyone else. To find love in this setting is perhaps the one remain remaining avenue for social mobility. I would fight hard against plain Janes and middle class feministas attempts to close down this avenue and hammer the final nail in the coffin of the working class.

And it's not bad news for working class men. Not just a case of rich men stealing your best women as beauty is not a zero sum game. All these prole women who stay pretty and healthy to be attractive to elite men can be enjoyed by working men in the meantime, and also, this group of women will raise the average standard, other women with no intention to marry into money will notice women around them becoming healthier and more attractive and they will follow suit. Nobody loses.
