Most of our parents cared for us and raised us so when they get older and are needing care for themselves, would you bring them into your home and take care of them? Would you feel obligated to do so or would you place them in a nursing home?
I would care for mine in my own home until the end.
Go to a thread of mine. """Are we obliged, to look after, our olderly parents, when incapable looking after themselves.???"""" Read post 84 of that thread. Then you will understand the mentality and the way of thinking,by some people,on the topic of your thread.

I'm sorry, I didn't realize this topic had already been posted. I did read post #84 and I hope you were not being serious.

I'm amused at the idea of mum and dad living in the same house. Maybe if by then they're both completely senile then they won't mind.
Yet I believe there's still a strong cause and need for euthanasia. But in a subtle way. What if we were to make the font smaller on road signs?

If you are in good health and 24/24 can be with them,, that's great. They can be more healthy than us ,, so many factors that could lead to practical solutions.

Nice....how about removing all those aged 30 as this is a higher number of the working population...this will give a great influx of new talent from all the new 20 yr olds...also saving a considerable amount on future pensions each country would have had 10 years input in tax and insurance...saving this in government owned banks from which they can borrow to pay off debts...considering most of those in this age group in UK have politically different agendas from those in older ages...... Bingo...and Yes Obs would have the biggest needle of All....

I am sad to say after caring for my mother for forty seven years, Recently she has moved on to a different level of expression. In their home, or yours is way better. Probably depends on your place of where you are living. A lot of facilities are not safe.I had experience with this after an incident. I had to go every day, at least. Keep parents in your home, if you are capable. GOOD POST ! PEACE HH

That was interesting, to say the least, but also very insightful.

Up there, you have echoed my sentiment, frisky. In fact, i left the USA and came back to my home country because i wanted to take care of my parents as they are getting old
