Thanks Serene. I think that unfortunately for many it also changes when people become bored with one another. But for sure these things can be overcome especially if people are willing to talk about them.

You know...or don't. But some years ago I met a young lady here and we married. We both removed our profiles. We came back later only to tell the news after many months than deleted those profiles as well. But like many things it just really never had a chance. But that was done and ended some time ago.

I don't get overly-obsessed with anything. I am interested in lots of things, not obsessed.
Therefore, I am interested in the same things, whether single or in a relationship.

I have noticed it as well sometimes. Being not only "single" but also detached from mostly everyone I ever knew excepting one or two casual friends I see the world quite different these days.

That is such a good question to ask. Even if I were not a news/ politics junkie, I know that I wouldn't be happy with someone that did not take the time to understand the world around him. I guess a lot of people view politics like others would view ballet...like something that doesn't effect them. Pity the fools.
While I wouldn't expect my soulguy to fall in lockstep with my opinions (it is a lovely thought) I would expect him to at least know what he's talking about (should he have have differing opinions) and be willing and able to debate.
