The logistics of parking one's hen are not within my range of expertise. I'm sure we'll work something out. Can't be that big a problem surely?hug

Geriatrix2: Of course there is the alternative that you could come to Oz. I have a nice little 2 bedroom pad 100 yards from the beach and its the start of summer so the weather is beautiful. Don't know if I could handle one of your winters. The ice age was after all the end of the dinosaurs! There aren't many of us left now. Need the comfort of a tropical rain forest to exist these days.

laugh That's a fine idea. I always wanted to go to Aussie country.
And I don't enjoy the cold mths anymore like I used too. Beach sounds awesome!..I hibernate all winter here, hardly poke my head outside mumbling
Wouldn't the tropics be wonderful.
I have a friend in Mexico who spends winter mths there, waiting for that storm to shore..wow Wouldn't wanna be there about now.

No storms here until late February when the wet season kicks in.yay Perfect place for a hen to roost. Corn on the cob in the garden to satisfy even the most discerning bird! Oh to be 10 years younger. The mind boggles! Henhouse comes with Queen bed and view of the Pacific ocean. sleep If you ever do decide to visit you would be more than welcome. Even dinosaurs get lonely! grin devil Must be just about your bed time over there. 2pm here. Might go have a little snooze myself. Hope to see you here tomorrow. Stay warm and don't get your feathers ruffled. wave

Da_Moose: Remember when these forums were about people meeting people, and trying to get all naked and do all sorts of unspeakably naughty things with each other? I do....and I sure do miss those days (then again, I met the absolute love of my life on here, so I am okay....)

But really,...CS ain't gonna solve squat! It really should be a place to mingle and unwind,....but then again,....who am I to say?

Ironic that you should complain Moose when you ended up with one of the most lovely, intelligent, friendly and delightful women that have ever graced this site laugh

Ok I'm gonna be serious now and say what I really think..

Reminiscing about the 'good ol days' is not supportive of, nor respectful toward, new members.

Yes there's been an increase in political/religious threads of late, which some choose to partake in, but, in addition, I'm sure many of us who have been here for a while are enjoying seeing new members join in forum discussions, creating new threads and adding fresh insights.

Bring it on, I say cheers

It's amazing to observe how humans can be so personal at times.
We dragged our feet and stepped into a vast world like CS, to the internet world, known to be without barriers,,, reading people from all the hemisphere and expect them to fit what we personally appreciate, why not just fit into the baking pan and just discretely brush away the parts that is in excess.,,,,????rolling on the floor laughing

I agree - CS has become like a political battlefield and open war zone.
A good while back a few of us set up the CS Flying school for banter, on the UK forums, but it was hi-jacked and personalised warfare declared by a nasty minority who hijacked other threads, got people removed by insinuation and no reason, never understood the humour and made life unpleasant for all and sundry.

The ex No 1 is a qualified Pilot, now married to someone he met on CS, and as soon as I get confirmation that I am fixed up, I will be off permanently too.

2intrigued: I'm hearing ya Moose...those days are gone it seems. You are fortunate to have met a lovely woman at a time when the forums were about making connections. I'm not sure what the forums are all about anymore and I sure don't feel motivated to participate in them these days.

hug I understand. I guess it is just the way of the people for the time being. Maybe one day we will see a new change... bouquet

Well said Babs thumbs up

Not necessarily in regard to this thread, but in general, I feel people have high expectations of social media and fail to put it into perspective conversing

If we were to walk into a room full of strangers, how many are going to agree with/admire/fall in love with us?

And when they don't, we take it personally and let it get us down?

I think not.

Is it not possible for old members to post threads if they aren't happy with current content?

Or to encourage new members by replying on threads that they've posted?

Or leave the site if they're over it rather than being miserable and deterring new members and their input?
