Trix, for me, the distance created too much of an obstacle for me. I tried it several times and am not putting my heart through that again. I date only locally now.I made friends on here and enjoy my time with all of you, so don't want to leave CS.

Hi Candy. Saying it won't happen is not altogether correct. Serena and Tru are an example that it is not impossible.Difficult yes, but not impossible. Just depends on the commitment shown by the parties involved. My motto is "never say never".

I came on this site a couple of years ago all gung ho, fantasising I would meet someone who would be willing to relocate...
I'm more of a realist now....and am not pursuing anything with anyone, not even locally. I've got higher priorities on my list.
...but I do enjoy the banter on here, and have met some lovely people online....which keeps bringing me back...
I think for the ones who have found happiness through a LDR, I wish them well and it's always great to see people finding love on here....
It's not for me personally. I don't wish to put myself or anybody else through any more unnecessary hurt with unrealistic expectations.

I think the problem is that if women say they're looking, they'd get a lot of foreign folks hassling them. If somebody seems nice enough, maybe send them a message anyway. You cant get thrown in jail for it or anything. I dont think CS is very big in our part of the world...

I don't think you can ever have too many friends. and the fact that you may never see them becomes rather moot. Just to hear from them and learn a little bit about how they live should improve each of their lives.
There are too many lonely people in this world, and to criticize someone who wants to have other people to talk to here, when that conversation might be the bright point of their day, well.........

I am not willing to relocate and I will never ask anybody to do it for me...
