I'll be honest with you, your post is weird.

Don't you get freaked out by dead bodies regardless of souls?

You're pretty but in laymans terms "f.UC'D UP"

charming topic , emmm , bodys that have been frozen rot quicker , sooo bodys from a mortuary though not frozen might queer the study a bit . And being the resident pig hunter , nailed a porker yesterday , large boars have a shield over their shoulders so thick that no knife can go through it . So heavy and tough it can't be folded no gotty can ever work its way through it would affect how pigs rot down . Even though pig meat goes "off" quickly compared to sheep . Could be veges the difference between them , not sure how a skinny person full of beer would rot .

OK, what qualifications do you have? you must have some, watching CSI and Law and Order doesn't count, what qualifications do you have?

Are you qualified to dissect bodies, you're still weird but...well...uhmmmm.....WEIRD.

post mortem, what qualifications do you have?

@Rob

I like that your friend will not be urged toward his death and that in refusing medication he is having a say in it.

I wish him well, and you also, as his dear friend.

As far as my interest re our mortal remains, to me any spiritual understanding and outcome remains intact as it is not to do with the manner of our farewell from this mortal coil.

More that we lived a meaningful, giving and rewarding life prior to our departure.

A good thread,
But i think wierd as the society is at the moment,,
If studying studying dead bodies for the purpose of lengthening lives,, i think we already live long enough this time,, and science are on the process of creating human/mechanical spareparts to replace worn out parts in some human bodies,, it's just the question of social morals that prohibits such liberal practices for the moment.bouquet

Hi serene.. Interesting, and scientists could learn from it..
But one of the reasons I'm even against being buried, is, no space.. The Earth has too many people and not enough land..
Some places are even burying prople standin up now! Or on top of eachother!
Body farms are like Grave yards.. Wasted space in my opinion , rather use it to Grow crops to sustain the hungry ..
Cremate bodies
Just my strange outlook wave

Ok well you've no doubt noticed that I have my back to the camera and cannot give you my real name as I am a dentist.

grin

Anyway, now we've cleared that up, lemme just say that I've recently chanced upon a book detailing post mortem practices so consider myself capable of excising any annoying bodily afflictions as required.

yes i agree but it seems in this thread you talking about cutting up bodies, or at the very least handling dead or dying beings bodies.

Hint person or animal's don't smell until there essence has departed, so if the body hasn't started decaying the subtle consciousness hasn't departed and should not in my opinion be disturbed
