mollybaby: Is that the new fangled box with the moving images?
I believe it is...
There is also a remote controlled devise with a red button , which when pressed with a finger of choice, turns off the television, enabling me to get some well earned rest.

It looks like the coup will fail. Erdogan is back at the airport. And less civilians are supporting the coup than expected. There is gunfire, but hopefully only warning shots rather than at people.
already it was not any possible coup, everybody know that government doing it by itself for to have president system bring to country..istanbul airport bomb and suicide attacks covered this way and forgotten from media, also high court of cassationsystem they changed also covered it with this theatre too..everybody knows erdogan and his government how f.cked up whole country ..
Gunfire and explosions have continued to rock both the main city Istanbul and capital Ankara in a chaotic night after soldiers took up positions in both cities and ordered state television to read out a statement declaring they had taken power.
The announcer said the democratic and secular rule of law had been eroded by the current government and that a new constitution would be prepared soon.
Freedom of citizens was guaranteed by the 'peace council', regardless of religion, race or language, the announcer said.
The military statement said the army had taken action to: 'reinstall the constitutional order, democracy, human rights and freedoms, to ensure that the rule of law once again reigns in the country, for the law and order to be reinstated.'
The military statement went on to say that 'all international agreements and commitments will remain. We pledge that good relations with all world countries will continue.'
As coup attempters have lost many spots they occupied Turkey’s top soldier Gen. Hulusi Akar, whose fate was unknown since late July 15 was saved from the Akincilar Base near Ankara through an operation, broadcaster CNNTürk reported.
It has been found out that he was removed from the headquarters of the Turkish Armed Forces to the Akincilar Base where the plotters used as one of their centers to command their attempt.
Government had appointed 1st Army Commander Gen. Ümit Dündar early July 16 during the absence of Gen. Akar. Akar’s health is believed to be fine.

Possibly , he has had to backtrack on a lot of his pet hates just lately . Israel, Russia, Egypt , Syria , only so much humble pie can be eaten before he looks silly . If he lasts 18 months I would be surprised . Come November his personal friend's , Obama , replacement will be known and either way he won't have a mate in the White House .
