Rumples: I mean I would always lie in court if I felt that the law was unjust. Breaking just laws for you all depends on how much you mean to me.
If I was lying in court what interests me is would I consider laws unjust in because I want to break them? Would justice in my mind simply become whatever I wanted to happen? Or would I always know that I'm fighting on the side of wrong?
One2note: Would you lie......... In court, if it meant saving a friend or family member going to prison. Remember, you'll be under oath!
People lie all the time in court and out of court doesn't matter if its under oath or not.
Personally, I wouldn't lie,,, this is a moral choice I try to uphold. Plus, I understand that ALL LIARS go to hell .. don't wanna go to hell, too hot down there

So you think laws all laws are good????
One countries laws do not fit another's.
Law makers do so for their own ends, not yours
Hell and heaven are your own making you do not just go there.

whether you think heaven or hell are our own makings or not... out of court or in court.. the law(s) of honesty is most important to me.... thus, my moral stance about lying remains the same... and in the words of George Washington, 'I shall not tell a lie!'

Hmmmm a toughie. Do the crime, do the time, if it were in my country, regardless of who you were. I'd have to tell the truth.
If it were in a country where the law was corrupt and the sentences unjustly harsh for seemingly minor offences, I'd do whatever I could to keep a loved one safe. Remember, you'll be under oath!

You should go to court sometime and watch the parade of liars. Hearing someone tell the truth in court is very rare. The worst offenders are the police, followed closely by the lawyers, then the witnesses for the defence and lastly the witnesses for the prosecution. The journalists get into a huddle after the session to discuss what 'version' of the truth they will write and there you have it, your typical court. But what about the judge? Well, the judges have come up from the legal ranks so they know the score but seldom pay enough attention to what's going on anyway. They are the masters of daydreaming. They are probably trying to ignore the charade they are presiding over.
I once asked a lawyer how the police in particular could be such a bunch of outright liars and it was his opinion that at some point in their young careers they were confronted with losing every prosecution they took if they stuck to the truth. Once they 'know' someone is guilty all they need to do is tell the appropriate story. The criminals know this and they are carried out screaming, "they're lying, they stictched me up" but nobody believes them because they are criminals and because the media makes sure the right story is circulated so the public know who the good guys and bad guys are.
Say whatever you have to in court. Don't let the 'truth' bother you too much

Just shows how little you know about how things work in court
