If you had the chance to start all over you would create a paradox on what has already happened.
It might not always be what you are hoping for.
I wish I had done some things differently but I don't want to change the past in fear that it will change the positive things that are in my present.

I was thinking about my first time falling in love: he was not the most handsome man in my class (there were a couple Brad Pit type, so no it was not his phenotype) the one that I placed my eyes on would always question and challenge everyone and everything.
(long story short)
He did marry a girl because their families had already plans for them (both wealthy families) later he went to France for his PhD, they came back to this land and later she did commit succide leaving behind her 2 yo daughter
We have met in every school reunion and we never have talked about anything that had happened in the past just a friendly and warm greeting (some light in his eyes) and lovely memories.
My point: I fell in love with his mind.

I'm not sure paradox is the word you're looking for, maybe compromise
I'm certain that I would readdress many decisions and paths that I've taken in my life and I not ashamed to own up to that
We're all flawed in some respects, it's a human frailty, and to say that we regret nothing is either a form of denial or lack of insight possibly
