prefer to meet face to face, rather than endless messages that get lost in translation, however, its not always possible to meet, in fact everyone I have interacted with on CS either lives outside Australia or several hours flight away... but friendships can develop over time, although it can be a strange community that inhabits 'cyber space'...

I couldn't agree more,, and that is my point,,,, messages do get lost in translation .
I also agree that friendships can develop and i value some that i have. I guess we can separate the wheat from the chaff as Molly said before. peoples true selves, come to the fore sooner or later.
