All threads and blogs are limited by the amount of comments they receive.
You don't walk into a library and ask the librarian to remove all the books you find offensive or boring.
You instead ignore the ones you don't want to read and read the ones of Interest.
How is it so hard for some to apply this method to Social media dunno

Lookin4missright: If your answer is yes how would it work? How many threads per person in a 24hr, 48hr, 72hr time window etc...how many is appropriate in your opinion?

If your answer is no, why not?

One every couple of days would be fine,,, if everyone took part,
but it is the same people posting, and it gets boring when people have to go
back to threads from years ago to keep it going ,,,,when the regular posters,
don't post for a few days.

It would be nice if there was more diversity , with more taking part.

We all come here for our own reasons,,,, and it is really up to the people in charge
to make things better,,,, recently they have taken off threads that were not nice,
quicker than they used to,, sometimes we don't know why they take some off

What if there was a lifetime ban, for some of the posters that ,we in personal life
wouldn't tolerate for 5 minutes, they are so bad and just let themselves down.

Yeah Lookin,, lets make the forums interesting, and inviting.

I'd like to have a button near my computer, so when I push it the poster gets an electric shock. It would be good if it also had a dial so I could adjust it to deliver more or less electricity according to my mood.

I don't agree with lifetime bans
One person may not be able to tolerate another person's viewpoints, but others might, and might even agree with them.
I don't think someone should be given a lifetime ban just because I personally do not like their way of thinking.
I might find them totally disagreeable.I mightn't piss on them if they were on fire in real life, but that is just me and my ideas and beliefs. Not everybody feels the same.

Eventually, my desk would have an entire console with various buttons and dials marked- electricity, trapdoor, boiling oil drop, probe, steaming manure drop, power blackout, screen explosion, car alarm, bucket of snakes, killer bees, jehovas witnesses, insect plague, drug bust, printer ink leakage, and so on.

I'm just talking about a specific few, that should know better than to continue to

constantly keep on being nasty ,, very nasty ( in my opinion),, and by comments made by others,
they feel the same way too,,, if they were to apologies, and make changes, then fine

Ok give them the chance to come back after a 3 month ban,, time to reflect .

But who decides? dunno

I have seen threads and posters here that I absolutely hate, because of the hate they spew

But is it up to me to decide that they get banned for life, or even 3 months?

What is up to me is whether I decide to engage with them on not.

Yes, and i wouldn't engage with them ever,,,, but when others do

as is their choice, it fuels their nastiness.

Unequivocally, there should be unlimited threads on CS that meet CS guidelines. I believe that CS operates on a computer in the USofA where freedom exist to speak and advertise.

However, I believe the political and otherwise hate threads should not be listed in the forum home pages. Meaning if you want politics or hate you have to go to the politics and hate catagory pages. Jest my two cents.

Mods have their own agenda too

Often the most 'popular' threads are the ones which are most controversial.
Are they going to take those down? Nope

Plus the mods are human too, and have their own outlook on things, so if they are pro-Trump for example, they are not going to take down those threads.
