I want some input USA people.

Why would the republicans give the democrates 5 million extra voters. (not that a lot of them are in the rust belt) but some are in battle states.
Shouldn't they take some more effort to appeal to these people first?

Can the dreamers be used as a bargaining chip for foreign policy?
I don't think Mexico and such want their people back. As the parents would have to go back, there would already be an increase of people on the job market there.

And do Americans care?

Hello Lenwave
Not sure if you are trolling or not.
House minority leader Nancy Pelosi Dem says the Republicans are trying to make America white again. Maybe that's what it is. Or maybe people don't think the changing demographics and shifting political balance serve their best interests. Regardless it's going to be for us to sort out. Just keeping watching the news. I think you may have your own issues to deal with soon enough. Maybe you can set the example for how it should be done..

The Republicans would lose millions of white votes and at this point I believe white America would favour taxation without representation for non-white American citizens considering how much diversity has diluted the concept of citizenship. It doesn't mean much to be a fellow American and more immigrants would make it mean even less.

ChesneyChrist: Personally I would relegate the importance of open borders if I was a liberal. Wait another 20 years. For two reasons 1) allow time for things to calm down, and more importantly 2) wait for the new generation of millennial white Americans who gain almost nothing from the action and policy of Trump and their parents. If climate change alone is even a bit true anything Trumpsters believe in today will become like AIDS to the next generation of politics.

The real winners under Trump are the stock market and the aging population with its saving and pensions funds invested therein. Trump's policy is a massive boom of free money for the elderley and the really rich with major longterm issues. The best way to defeat the "white" politic is to recognise its generational split, the white old want to eat their young to prop up the retirement they didn't really work for, and the allies of liberals future are these young people with a massive bite taken out of their leg.

That's the point to impress upon. Posterity being milked to pay for the retirement of the last generation that will ever retire. The rift between the generation of the great recession, the gig economy and working until you drop dead with the generation of post-war prosperity, great jobs and thrity year retirements is great indeed and set to become all the greater.

I fully agree the idea of work permits only.
I'm even willing to extend that to a paid 9 months visa in case you pay medical insurance on front and can show address of stay or money on the account. Maybe also demand an sortie plan like a plane ticket out.
It is a bit what the Russians demands.
Migrants in Europe have 6000+ euro to spend to get here. That is enough to cover plane, insurance and housing.
Find a job and let them extend that visa.
After some time they can buy in at other social securities, (unemployment, later pension rights, ....) for the duration of the stay here. And even later they can make prove of integration of change nationality.

I don't mind all these strangers, i don't like they get my nationality so cheaply and that i need to accept their culture is suddenly Belgian too.
And that other cultures can be horrible idiotic and unbenificial.

The real issue is whether or not a country can survive changing from one majority culture to another, when the former former culture controls most of the wealth and land, and are heavily armed. When we reach the point of permanent one party rule , are the people who have worked overtime their entire lives to achieve their dreams, going to set quietly by and have everything taken away at the ballot box via higher taxes.

I've read that the point at which a democracy breaks down, is when takers reach sufficient numbers they can just keep voting for more and more government giveaways for themselves.

Changing demographics caused by massive immigration and the low birth rate of the native white population will bring about similar issues in most all European countries, in the not too distant future. In fact several countries such as Sweden and Italy and Spain are on track for the white populations to become the minority in their own countries about the same time or before the whites become the minority in the USA.

When Europe becomes majority muslim how will that affect life in Europe where the population is largely unarmed.
That's the question I want answered.

Well the Israel area survived a big influx of migrants. and got taken over mostly by force. but also by money and opportunity.

For Europe you do miss the idea that a lot of muslims change to Westerners.
So old fashioned heritage does get educated away, this equality and prosperity does ring a bell with a lot.

The problem is our own democratic based on rules.
And the influx of foreigners with different viewpoints. some people are just happy to receive and live of the lowest bar we set in our society and waste their time with that.

Okay now I can see you are wearing rose colored glasses in your photo. For Europe's sake I do hope you are right.

The problem is the African migration into Europe has only just begun, with the potential of 10's of millions more to follow. Is there such a thing as too many? And the rate of the migration may be increasing. I see plenty of articles about new far right leaders gaining support in most European countries so I suspect your rosy outlook is not shared by all over there. I just don't believe assimilation can occur if the current flow continues, or increases I do well understand the need people have to improve their lives if possible, but will their extremist leaders really allow this?

The generous social welfare systems of the west are a powerful magnet. Without major changes I just don't see how you will survive.
Best of luck to you. wave

While the ones crying about it are mainly the ones Right of Center, the Documents available do prove it!

How far the principle is at work in the US,and who is implementing it,still remains to be seen!

DACA is a major target of scapegoating for the far right , poor white trash voting block. Trump cant afford to appeal to these voters. Hes the most unpopular President at this point in recent history.

I do agree with you Comrad, work permits only -undocumented workers-.
With the employers paying what the law states and the workers paying their taxes and getting the benefits that the law applies.
Citizen path? not sure about it unless they want it.
