Long furry animals that English country folk would keep down their trousers, legend has it that keeping ferrits 'on your person' assisted with temperance in the matrimonial home...thus giving English women a much needed rest from their amorous and fragarently challenged hog wrestling husband's.... The ferrit later went on to be known as 'the housewives friend' and the 'trouser charmer'...
