Dreams are very funny stuff:
Some people believe that they are a prediction of the future, warning, wishes come true, as long as they just behave or act a certain way. Thus your dreams are manipulating you as much as if it was people telling you what to do and you act with total acquiescence.

Lots of predictions are determined from people dreaming it, and believing it. We have Nostradamus for example. Ever heard of him? Ever read his writings? It can be used for just about any happening closely matched. So can we believe that the future can be predicted, or if De Javu is possible? Wishfull thinking or Proof?

Now are we clever or very stupid, is the question!

we can manipulate our dreams as much as they are manipulating us. Change how you react in your dreams and you will change your life in reality

We glance through life in the moment and don't pay full attention to everything that happens in a day - that would take forever. Dreams are the processing of this missed information, they're meaningless unless they're not. It depends on what you're missing.

I don't attach any meaning to my dreams and I just let them go...occasionally something will happen and I will remember a dream I had and its like a confirmation that I already dreamt about the situation....the way I have experienced de ja vu is not only a feeling that I have been there before but I can also tell you whats going to be said or happen next....wave

Your dreams are your subconscious telling you what to do!
So how do you tell your subconscious how to act, as you are totally oblivious to it?

The missing piece of the puzzle, can come from the subconscious, processed not just at night but during the day as well, but enlightening you in your dreams. Very valid!!!

Great! You are the perfect example:
Those are precognitive dreams, where you can look at the future.
You De Javu is very good!

I dreamed last night that Elton John and Barry Manilow (with a massive mullet) were sharing a house together, over the road from me, and that every Sunday, Elton John would come over and do helpful chores for his neighbours.

Somehow I suspect that is one dream that won't be coming true.

Some extremely learned people practicing the Mind Only School of Thought I heard explain our dreams have as much reality as our waking consciousness.
Holding solid with our habitual dualistic mind process, that is most often conditioned on a past experience and or on the bases of a prediction in some future time is actually a form of madness...
As true reality most often escapes thee....and so therefor it can rightly so describe our dreams as holding as much reality as our waking consciousness...000000

My dreams have haunted me at times and some dreams have given me peace. Not remembering my nightly dreams makes the ones I remember more important.
So, yes my dreams are real.
Flying in my dreams and I can touch and smell in my dreams.
Also, I travel to in my dreams, so yes dreams are real to me.

My dreams are a mashup of me trying to subconsciously tell myself something, generated by my unique mind and heavily influenced by my medication. I remember all of them and I got to say, I been in some pretty wild places and done some cool things.

No, very few dreams do I remember but the few I do are true to me. Once I dreamed in color and that was maybe 5 years ago. I have painted in color from that point on.
I feared sleep so no dreams came to me until I was safe maybe ten years ago.

I remember all of mine without even having to try. Even though you don't remember most, you are still dreaming, just you have no memory of it, most people don't remember dreams at all. I am the odd one out who do have regular vivid memories of my dreams.

I don't think so as one dream I had where a row of detached properties had been knocked down and I don't think this will ever happen and I haven't had a chance to tell any of the people who live in them about my dream. This was just one of the many odd dreams I have had where I can't see any sense in at all.

I find the Buddhist teachings very interesting, as I do any teaching. It is very good to see how all the different groups of people in the world see life in general, including the past and the future. This teaching appears quite possible too!

As with everything, you have to take dreams with a bag of salt too! Your interpretation might be a bit too factual?

If they're real why are they called dreams
