... I don't know if Audi has, I think VW has the all time record, and it's a electric car, I think... it was 2 or 3 years ago... time flies... This year, some gas cars are trying for the all time record, monster cars from Bentley, Porsche, Lexus and others, they spend years building cars just for this race...
... Only the Indianapolis 500 has been racing longer, this is the nations 2nd oldest car race...

You would probably like it, some people camp out along the road, not many places, and they sell out fast. Last year was the only year without spectators. I don't think I've seen Fort Logan cemetery, I've heard much about it over the years... 
I forget, you asked about Audi...
... Yes, they had their time on Pikes Peak, back in the 1980's, remember the Quattro's? ... ... also, the entire road being paved, is fairly new, when we moved out here, it was about half paved, then they kept paving more and more over the years, now it's paved all the way to the top... it's much faster now... could you imagine trying to get the right tire, when it was pavement and dirt? ...
