I used to own a 59 Cadi Eldi. One of the longest car ever made. Beautiful. Air level suspension and I swear that car was out to kill me.
If you notice the picture of my hardtail chopper on profile, I have no front brake either. Front brakes are dangerous. Hit it first and do a flip. Never had an issue with just back brake. Except now since shoe is worn and foot goes all the way around before stopping. No problem..just anticipate stops.

So who can afford to waste rubber when tires are half bald to start with?! The guy who worked on my 54 Harley trike said he passed me on the highway one day. He had ridden hard tails years back. He said he winced seeing how the bike bounced. I said doesn't bother me. Know every bump along the route and just post like riding a trotting horse. Altho laying down with feet on highway pegs, just went with it like rocking in the sea.

The world of hot rods is not what it used to be. Nor car mags. Street Rodder is gone, Rod and Custom,Car craft too. When they said I could go on line or get Motor Trend, I finally got through the over loaded phone line and said NO WAY! They switched the remaining issues to my Hot Rod subscription.
Street Rodder had lots of how to build stuff. I guess the kids who own fart poppers only want to know what wraps, sound systems or wheels they can put on.
Boarder got a free sub to Car and Driver. What trash! Even to those into new cars. What is it, a wish book. Oh sure, everyone wants a review of the new BMW, Lexus, Tesla, Porsche or other car priced at 50K or more! They don't seem too interested in cars people actually buy!
Amazed the Low Rider mags are still out there. Guess instead of selling my car mags from the 60/70s I should just re-read them.
